Quick info
About M&M Kebabs & Burgers
M&M Kebabs & Burgers is a kebab shop at 3 St Augustine's Parade in Bristol, run as a counter-serve spot where customers walk in and order at the counter. The kebab menu centres on lamb doner, with chicken shish alongside it. Kebabs come in medium and large sizes with salad, and the staff ask which salad and sauces you want as they make the order. A chicken burger meal covers the burger side of the name, and chips come with meals. Payment is taken upfront, before the food is made.

Customer Review Summary
The doner kebab is what reviewers raise most, and opinions on it split sharply. One praises the garlic mayo, hot chili pepper sauce and bread, calls the medium portion big and worth the price, and only wishes the beef were better seasoned. Others call the lamb doner very poor quality, and one says a mix doner held hardly any chicken. Portion size for the money recurs, with one reviewer calling two large kebabs with salad a joke and another finding the chicken shish nothing special. Sauce is the other repeated complaint. A chicken burger and a doner both arrived drowned in mayo despite requests for little or for salad. Reviewers also describe a kofta that was bland with only chilli heat, though the chips were ok. A few report staff with an attitude problem, and one reports an upset stomach after eating. A single reviewer praises caring people and good food. Another describes a long wait while later orders were served first, ending with a soggy doner holding only onions.

“This review represents several years of half loyal M&M service. At first the chips came so crisp it there was only two choices: come back or come back. My loyalty feels disregarded after some poor performances recently. Even Messi has a bad game however the M is M&M’s doesn’t stand for Messi, it’s more ‘Mid & Mediocre.’ Tonignt topped it all (literally). A hard earned working week resulted in some casual bières and before a rattly X4 home, I decided to indulge in M&Ms. 1 Chicken Burger Meal conveniently burned the time I was waiting to get the bus. However, after the long weight (Eng joke), the assistant asked if I wanted mayo and lettuce. I said ‘lettuce but very little mayo.’ It was as this point he determined that he should make my bugr so mayo that no component matters anymore. If only the assistant has as much listening ability as they did mayo pouring. Anyway, sat at the bus stop trying to preserve my clothes from the mayo overload and successfully went through the burge. Think this is a ‘we need to talk’ moment with M&Ms. We’ve had highs and lows but unfortunately you’ve let me down too many times. Goodbye and good riddance.”

“Horrible, lowest quality food. Not sure if its even real meat. Stomach was upset the whole time. Asked to put more sauce and the staff added too much to ruin the whole kebab. Horrible service. Go anywhere else.”

“I’m usually a massive advocate for M&M Kebab, especially the branch on White Ladies Road, which is why this experience was genuinely disappointing. I came in after a long day of work and waited while at least four people who ordered after me received their food first. After each order came out, I kept having to say, “Boss, I ordered a lamb doner,” only to get “yeah, nearly ready” back each time while more people walked off with their food. What made it more frustrating was that other people were actively ordering and receiving lamb doners while I was still waiting, with absolutely no explanation or communication as to why mine was taking so long. A simple “we’re waiting on fresh meat” or any sort of update would’ve gone a long way, but I was basically left standing there confused and ignored. Eventually, I got my order. I specifically asked for “all salad with garlic mayo,” but instead received a soggy doner with basically just onions, absolutely drowned in garlic mayo, and none of the other salad or sauces I’d asked for. By the time I realised properly, I’d already packed it into my bag and walked up St Michael’s Hill. After looking forward to it all day, it was a pretty grim disappointment and honestly difficult to eat. I’m writing this more out of frustration because I normally rate this franchise highly and recommend it to people regularly. Hopefully this was just an off night rather than standards slipping. I’m happy to”

“Shocking size for the price. Not worth it at all. The chicken shish was nothing special. You can make such stuff at home for a fraction of the price. Buying large and being hungry after it, is unacceptable at this price For the same price you can get a very tasty yeero in Tesco extra Bradley stoke or yeero in Chepstow and you will also get fries plus a drink.”

“Very shit lamb doner. Order a mix doner, could harldly find any chicken in there. Lamb doner is quality is as bad as it gets( the type £60 for 20kg ready rubbish) no wonder they are being stingy on the chicken :). Don’t recommend”
