Quick info
About Adelina Yard
Adelina Yard is a restaurant on Queen's Quay in Bristol, built around a thirteen-course tasting menu in which the butter, bread and cured meat are all made in-house. The meal opens with snacks, and the courses follow one after another, with staff explaining each dish and its ingredients. A sitting runs about three to four hours, and a wine flight is available alongside the menu. The dining room overlooks the harbour. Guests who want to watch the kitchen can book the Chef's Table, a high table in front of the counter, reserved by email. The restaurant opens Wednesday to Saturday and is closed Sunday through Tuesday.

Customer Review Summary
Diners come for the multi-course tasting menu, and the wine flight is the most repeated add-on, with reviewers calling the pairings wonderful and unusual. Specific dishes named include the raw beef, burrata and smoked ox heart, the daily cheese with brioche and jam, chalk stream trout with shiso, scallop with kohlrabi, turnip and hazelnut, and the pork belly. Staff are described as friendly and knowledgeable, explaining each course, and several say the pacing between courses made three or four hours fly by. One reviewer seated at the Chef's Table enjoyed watching the kitchen team work. Criticism is smaller but specific. One reviewer found the tables slightly sticky, the outdoor space by the harbour uncared for, and cutlery not replaced between courses. A returning diner says the snacks to start dropped from three items to one, and the cheese course now carries an extra charge. One reviewer ate so much across 13 courses that they finished very full, while another wished they had added the optional extras.

“Absolutely fantastic food – every dish was incredibly good and showed real care and attention. The team explained each course and how everything worked together, which made the whole experience feel especially thoughtful. Definitely go for the wine flight if you can; the pairings were wonderful. Friendly staff, great service and an atmosphere that felt relaxed but still special. We’ll definitely be back.”

“The food is excellent, genuinely 10/10. For me, the setting doesn't currently live up to the same standard. This is entirely personal preference, but I didn't particularly enjoy the tables and slightly sticky-feeling varnished wood, or the little log-style cutlery holders. Cutlery also isn't replaced with every course, which I found a little unusual for this style of dining. There's a lovely opportunity with the outside space overlooking the harbour, but at the moment it feels more like an uncared-for garden than an extension of the restaurant. And the interior feels a little uncared for. So for me: food 10/10, setting and atmosphere 6/10. The food is absolutely the reason to go though of course, and with a bit more attention to the surroundings and service details, the overall experience could feel every bit as special as the food! Overall. Go.”

“My first tasting menu, given to us by my darling son and daughter in law, Theo and Poppy, for my birthday treat. Absolutely delicious!! We had the tasting menu, each course was exquisite, bursting with flavours and beautifully presented on interesting quirky crockery. Loved the Sabatier knives as well. Thank you”

“I really liked this placed. Friendly and knowledgeable staff, and a comfortable dinning room which overlooks the water. The time between courses was perfect and really added to the experience. I wish I’d gone for the optional extras, because I could have eaten a bit more. Definitely be back!”

“We had a wonderful dinner experience at this restaurant during a short city break in Bristol, after my friend found it on Google. After a quick and easy email exchange, we managed to reserve the Chef’s Table for Friday night. The Chef’s Table is a high table located in front of the kitchen counter, and if you are interested in gastronomy, this is truly the best place to be seated. Watching the team at work added so much to the experience. All the serving and kitchen staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, happily sharing even the smallest details about the dishes and ingredients when we asked. The wine pairing was beyond perfect, offering interesting and unusual selections that complemented the menu beautifully. We enjoyed a tasting menu with a wide variety of dishes from cold starters to desserts. Everything was perfectly balanced — even though there were many courses, we didn’t leave feeling overly full or unsatisfied. The pacing of the service was also spot on, and it was impressive to watch the team handle the entire restaurant with such efficiency and professionalism. Highly recommended for any foodies!”
