About Pot Pot Malatang-Bristol
Pot Pot Malatang-Bristol is a hot pot restaurant in Bristol at 38 College Green, built around malatang bowls that diners assemble themselves. Each guest picks a soup base, spice level, noodles, protein, vegetables and extras, so every bowl reflects its own order. A free self-serve sauce station lets diners mix a personal dipping sauce from garlic, chili oil, herbs and peanut sauce. The kitchen offers halal options, and orders go in through a QR code at the table. Wings and spring rolls round out the menu for those who want something beside the bowl, and fortune cookies are offered. Umbrellas and photographs decorate the walls.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers come for the customisable malatang bowl, built from the soup base and spice level through noodles, protein, vegetables and extras. One diner ordered the hot curry soup with enoki mushrooms, Korean glass noodles, rice cakes, lobster balls and spinach, and several describe the broth as flavoursome and the bowl as warm, hearty and comforting. Close behind is the free sauce and condiment station, where diners mix their own dip from garlic, chili oil, herbs and peanut sauce. Wings and spring rolls come up as starters while the bowl cooks, and orders can be placed by QR code. Food arrives quickly, and many call the staff friendly, with one noting help choosing dishes and another a waitress who offered to help with the order. Reviewers describe the room as cozy, clean and welcoming, with umbrellas and photos on the walls, and a couple mention good value. One finds the tables close together and hard to get around. A fortune cookie to finish and a chef who suggested places to visit in Bristol round out the visits.

“Really enjoyed my visit to PotPot Malatang in Bristol! I love that you can completely customise your own bowl, from the soup base and spice level to the noodles, protein, vegetables and extras. There’s a great selection to choose from, so you can make it exactly how you like it. I also tried the wings and spring rolls while my malatang was cooking, and there’s a free sauce station where you can mix your own dipping sauce, which was a nice touch. The malatang itself was warm, filling and really comforting, with all of my favourite ingredients in one big bowl of broth. I had a refreshing green tea drink alongside it and finished with a fortune cookie. The restaurant has a cosy, relaxed atmosphere and the whole experience was really enjoyable. Definitely a great spot in Bristol if you’re craving malatang or just want something warm and comforting. Would happily come back!”
