About Cosy Club
On Corn St in Bristol, Cosy Club is a brunch restaurant and bar set in a Grade II listed former Lloyds Bank and church. The building keeps its Palladian architecture, marble floors and a domed roof, so meals are served inside the original interior rather than a fitted-out shell. The kitchen serves breakfast, brunch and lunch, with French toast among the brunch dishes and a gluten-free menu alongside. A bar sits in the central area of the space, and in the lounge guests order food and drinks at the bar. A private dining room gives groups a separate space to eat. Dogs are welcome.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often point to the grand interior, a former church and Lloyds bank hall that keeps much of its original features, as the reason for a brunch or coffee stop. The food earns solid praise too. Diners single out the burger with its mayonnaise and beef gravy, the rhubarb apple crumble, the prawn linguine, and the french toast paired with an iced latte. Light bites from the extras menu split opinion, with crispy sourdough and dill-seasoned smoked salmon liked but the mushrooms called chewy and bland. Portion size against price is the recurring complaint. One reviewer found portions slightly small for the cost, another wanted a larger serving of linguine, and one felt badly overcharged for a lunchtime pint and a small portion of fish and chips. Service is mostly described as attentive and quick, though one reviewer says it could improve and another notes that lounge seating means ordering food and drinks at the bar. Celebrations get a mention as well, from a birthday cake at breakfast to a Mothering Sunday gift bag for mums.

“Amazing spot for a cozy breakfast/brunch/lunch. Impeccable service staff! Slightly small portions for the price but everything we tried was delicious. Especially the french toast and iced latte!”

“Situated in a repurposed banking hall, its grand interior and impressive architecture serve as a lovely backdrop for a cup of coffee or brunch. The service was quick however, one thing to note is that if seated in the lounge, you’ll have to go up to the bar to order both food and drinks. I only got some light bites from the extras menu, including the buttered sourdough, smoked salmon, and mushrooms. The sourdough was crispy and savory and the salmon was fresh and seasoned with dill. I would skip the mushrooms if ordering again as they were a tad chewy and bland.”

“First time in this Cosy Club (Fathers Day) and it's the best of the ones I been in. Fantastic building with loads of history. It was a church and then a Lloyds Bank and they have had the decency to leave as much of the inside original as much as possible. The service and food was spot on. Thanks”

“£30 for a lunchtime pint and what I thought was initially two fish fingers and a beaker of chips (line caught cod and a sauce). Well see for yourself... I'll try to add photos.... I feel like I've just been legally mugged😁😁😁😁😁 Good luck guys😂”

“Nestled within a grand architectural structure, the restaurant boasts an exquisite interior and decor. Even though it gets crowded and can be a bit noisy, the food was really good. I especially loved the Prawn Linguine, it was so rich and reminded me of the ocean. The serving size could have been a bit larger, though. Also, the service could improve a little.”
