  “This is the best roast I’ve had in Bristol. Roasties were crispy but fluffy, massive Yorkshire, good portion size too. Lovely decor, pristine toilets, excellent service.”

  “Well, took mum out for lunch today and what a lovely experience as always. What can I say … Abi was absolutely on point … very attentive, kind and respectful throughout our meal. She was great right from the start … I noticed a couple of times that she was checking by looking , without interrupting (I don’t mean this in a negative sense at all) it just shows that she knows exactly what she’s doing and did ask on a couple of occasions if everything was okay. A great member of staff, very friendly and was engaging when we talked with her and was very friendly. Overall a great experience and lovely food and drinks. Thank you to the F+F ✅”

  “Booked this venue for a birthday celebration. Dean was very helpful in helping me to plan the day to accommodate needs. Natalia led her team on the day were very accommodating and helpful and efficient in their service. The venue - beautiful, staff wonderful and the food was amazing. All in all it was a perfect afternoon. Many thanks to all the staff who contributed to an outstanding afternoon.”

  “First visit to The Forge & Fern to take my Mum out for Sunday lunch last weekend (17.08.24). I made a reservation as not knowing the venue I didn’t want to chance a walk in. I glad I did as the venue was busy as it was a nice day. I think I will always book in future to guarantee a table. The venue looks great and had a nice atmosphere and with it being a Sunday there was a nice mix of people creating a good vibe that was both cool but not pretentious (perfect balance of your out with family). All staff were friendly and checked in throughout the meal without being full on, which Mum loved. The food was exceptional, great portion size, to a high standard and at a slightly lower price to the decent venues in town. I’m looking forward to returning soon.”

  “We went here for a Sunday Roast, it was absolutely amazing, the food was incredible and we got served very quickly. It was busy so we were surprised by the fast service ! It was very loud however with big groups for parties but cannot fault the food or the staff. Very good prices for the portion sizes. 10/10.”

  “Me & my husband visited last Sunday for a roast dinner and we were super impressed. This was our first visit to Forge & Fern and we will certainly be returning. Christian who served us was really friendly & helpful and nothing was too much trouble! The decor is really lovely and we were amazed to find out they make their own honey from a bee hive on the roof & two types of gin, made in the gin distillery below the restaurant. I’m a big Bloody Mary fan and they made it absolutely perfectly (I like mine spicy!) and there was also a great selection of local beers, ciders & ales. The roast dinner was incredible (I had the pork belly & my husband had the trio of meats with a side of the truffle cauliflower cheese) and we managed to squeeze in a sticky toffee & date pudding for dessert which was delicious! We would 💯 recommend F&F and hope to return soon to try their main menu.”

  “I highly rate this place. The food was amazing, never had a sourdough pitta before, and will definitely look out for this again. It was topped with Korean chicken which was cooked so well, not dry at all. The service was great also, the two girls working this lunch time were friendly and communicated well with one another and had everything under control. The atmosphere was chilled and the place was so well decorated and clean, even the hand lotion smelt amazing. I hope this place does well.”

  “My husband and I absolutely loved the place. Excellent quality breakfast, I had the Eggs Royale and my husband the Forge Breakfast. The quality of the food was excellent. The quality of service outstanding. Staff member Thea, made us feel so welcome, took the time to talk to us and even tell us more about the restaurant including the Beehive. Having great team members like Thea and Jodie make a huge difference in the quality of service and the customers’ experience. So a BIG Thank you. Also, the attention to details even in the toilets with the lion door hangers and the cleanliness was fantastic. We will surely come back again, overall great location, great food, great price, great experience and great staff👏👏👏👏”
