Customer Review Summary
Friendly, helpful staff are the most common praise, with reviewers describing a waitress who offered a choice of tables, servers who check in on the food, and a team that was kind throughout. The food also earns good marks, including shared tapas dishes described as nicely presented and cooked to perfection, breakfast eggs and avocado, burgers, and a very good cappuccino. Value is the main complaint. One regular found a flatbread dish much smaller than usual and a side of fries with only eight chips, while another called the halloumi fries expensive for three pieces and the orange juice bland. A couple of reviewers add that eggs and avocado were occasionally not quite right. Several note the open plan room gets busy and noisy, and one says it is not the place for a quiet lunch. The detail that recurs most is staff staying friendly and doing everything they could to put things right after the shrunken portion.

“Love this place, a couple of times the eggs were not quite up to scratch, and the avocado was not quite ripe enough, but been many times and I would say 9 out 10 times its been 100%. I've been to a couple of the other Lounge's and I rate them all the same. Good standard through out.”

“Nice restaurant. Very busy every time we have been but have always been able to get a table. Staff are friendly however are always very busy and shooting away as soon as you don't need them. The food is of great quality but not necessarily to my taste, my relative likes it here so that's why we go. They do have lots of different options which is good. Like I said it is always very busy, so must be doing something right. However it can be quite loud from service and other customers. If looking for a quiet lunch spot I wouldn't recommend. Overall a nice place for lunch if you want something a little different 🙂”

“We usually have a great experience here, but when we came here last one of us found a bit of plastic in the burger. Luckily a full refund was made. But other than that ive never had an issue here or any other lounge place.”

“I’ve eaten at The Lounge in Yate several times and have always enjoyed this meal. It’s normally a large, filling portion and has always been good value. However, this week’s visit was really disappointing. The portion seemed to have been cut in half, with what looked like the flatbread simply folded over to make it appear fuller. I also ordered a side of fries and received only 8 chips, which was very disappointing, please don’t tell me this is the normal potion size now , so they can charge the same but with half the cost !! That said, the staff were all amazing and couldn’t do enough to try and make things right. They were friendly, helpful, and handled the situation really well, which I really appreciated. I hope this was just a one-off, as I have enjoyed coming here before and would like to continue visiting in the future.”

“I had a lovely lunch here today with family. We all enjoyed our food. What really stood out was the staff and how lovely the three were who served us at different times. Firstly when we walked in and the waitress gave us different options for tables to sit on - she was so kind! And the other staff members who were really smiley & friendly. They are all such an asset to your team, thank you :)”
