About The Golden Fleece
The Golden Fleece is a gastropub at 23 Whitehall Rd in Bradford, serving British pub dishes made in its own kitchen from locally sourced, seasonal ingredients. A themed bottomless brunch runs every fortnight, with tapas on the brunch menu. The main menu covers meat eaters and vegetarians, and includes flat iron steak and a Sunday roast with beef, cauliflower cheese and stuffing. The bar pours wine and Prosecco, along with pornstar martinis. A live singer performs on some occasions, and an open fire gives diners a spot to sit beside. Reservations are required. Dogs are welcome.

Customer Review Summary
The Sunday roast is the most frequent draw, with one diner praising beef as tender and pink and another calling it a genuinely delicious roast. Close behind is the flat iron steak, which a birthday table all ordered and one reviewer's husband loves. Other named favourites include a tomato and red pepper soup, a chicken, bacon and leek pot pie with mash, and pornstar martinis. Reviewers describe friendly staff, a cosy, homely feel, and live music, though one says it needs turning down a touch. Complaints are small but specific: one roast diner found the vegetables sparse, just thin carrot and parsnip with cabbage, and sat by a cold window with no radiator running. Another wanted more crumble and custard in an apple crumble, and one did not care for custard swapped in for ice cream on a winterberry crumble. One reviewer says to book a table because the pub got busy. That roast diner moved to the cosy fire for a drink afterwards.

“We visited the Golden Fleece on Friday to celebrate my mums birthday which has been a ritual for the last 2 years and it never EVER disappoints. We all ordered the flat iron steak & it was cooked TOO perfection & great value for Money. We were greeted by extremely kind staff , there was a brilliant atmosphere throughout the evening including a live singer which was brilliant too. We had the NZ Sauvignon and Prosecco which was also not another let down ( brilliant choice of high end wine ) not to mention the pornstar martinis aswell which are 10/10! We will be returning for the foreseeable future!”

“A first visit here and definitely will recommend staff attentive and the food was excellent in lovely surroundings. Took advantage of the light lunch option of 2 courses for £20 including drinks. Excellent value”

“I asked friends for a recommendation of nice places to eat for our anniversary and The Golden Fleece was recommended. Staff were friendly, service was great and the food was unbelievable. Myself, husband and 15 year old son (who is hard to please) loved all of our food. We will definitely return!”

“This place is our go-to pub, it literally has it all! On evenings and weekends it’s a great place for date night or drinks with friends, lovely dinner menu, lovely cosy atmosphere too, through the day they offer the best lunch menu around, the staff are so amazing at what they do! Never felt so welcome, whether you’re just passing by or you’re a regular, the greeting is always warm. And the food?! Always a level up! It’s not greasy, microwaved budget pub grub, it’s PROPER grub. Even though it’s next to a main road, it has that cosy country pub feel to it. My only issue with this place is I don’t live close enough to go as often as I’d like! Myself, friends and family have been going for years and I will continue to. When you find a good pub, you don’t want to lose it! Love it here! Recently we had special treatment due to a friends birthday which was the icing on top of the cake! Can’t thank the team enough for making it special, even if it was a random Tuesday afternoon. Thanks so much Golden Fleece team!”

“Lovely pub. Easy to get to (short distance from M62) and plenty of parking. Food was delicious and really good value. Staff were great and service was fab. There was a singer on which was an unexpected bonus - the pub do a themed bottomless brunch every fortnight which looked brilliant.”
