Customer Review Summary
Reviewers return most for the carvery, praising the tender meats, the onion gravy and glazed honey parsnips, and the full plates with plenty of vegetables. The giant eclair, oversized ice cream scoops and large cake slices come up close behind, and one reviewer singles out the griddled bacon at the self-serve breakfast. The indoor children's play area is also mentioned repeatedly by families, along with a gluten free option and a well-poured pint of Guinness. Service draws steady praise, with several describing servers who seated them promptly, checked on tables during a busy period, and made a child's birthday feel special. The recurring complaint is the heat inside. One reviewer found it dry and hot with no windows open, and another says the toast at breakfast took ages. One diner was swiftly offered a box for leftovers they could not finish.

“We went today and it was my Grandsons 3rd birthday, Jamie went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and celebrate his birthday! Really appreciated it especially when it was her first day back from Mat leave! The place hasn’t been the same without her! Also had great service from I think it was Bee too! Thank you! Xx”

“We were served by Karl on the bar for our drinks when we got here early and he was super friendly, smiley and seemed to be bringing grins to the rest of his team. We were then helped at our table by Abbie. She was great with her service, had a lovely smile and was super friendly. Been a few times and always have a good time. Can't wait to be back on Christmas day!”

“Great service food was very nice full of flavours and the kids really enjoyed the desserts. Abbie was our waitress she was very attentive and we all had a lovely evening. The only thing I didn't really like was the heat inside there it was so dry and hot and there were no windows open for fresh air to circulate.”

“As always this place goes above and beyond from start to finish the customer service is exceptional!! We was greeted by a friendly girl who took us to table, upon ordering drinks a friendly smiley kaci made our drinks and explained the new order system where we didn’t need a ticket. She was extremely polite. The man in the carvery was friendly and polite and the station was kept incredibly clean. The carvery was amazing as always and keeps us coming back, the choice of vegetables are always plenty and the meat was fresh! As always we couldn’t finish our plates but was swiftly offered a box to take it away however on this occasion we decline. The staff are a great asset to the restaurant! Special shout out to James, kaci, the man who was on carvery and the polite lady who seated us.”
