Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the Tim Taylor's real ales on hand pump, praised as well kept and good, with Strongbow Dark Fruit and Cruzcampo also mentioned as cheap pints. Close behind is the friendly staff, who several say greet and remember regulars, along with a mixed crowd and locals described as friendly. Bingo hosted by a funny DJ gets repeated mentions, and one reviewer notes a young singer on a Monday afternoon. The space is described as spacious, with plenty of seating and large screens for football, Sky Sports and horse racing. The function room upstairs was used for a TTRPG event and called perfect. The main criticism is thin: one reviewer dislikes the karaoke and notes people walking in wearing joggers despite the door dress code, while another says it gets busy at certain times and that the ale selection is dominated by pressurised lagers. One group stopped in on the way to register a family death and said the staff were so helpful and shared plenty of laughs at bingo.

“Fantastic. Heard a great young singer on Monday afternoon, fantastic atmosphere, Tim Taylors real ales at £2. Wonderful pub.”

“£2.60 for a pint of very well kept Tim Taylor's. Polite staff. Great place to hang for a couple of beverages and a very good function room above. Edit: Hired the function room for a TTRPG event and it was perfect. Staff were brilliant and we were so well looked after. I can't think of a better venue for our needs.”

“The most satisfying is the hardworking staff's positive attitude, they greet you, they remember you even if you haven't been there for months, secondly the prices are very wallet friendly, discounts on doubles... thirdly the place is spacious with plenty TVs and football.”

“This was a fantastic pub for drinking, incorporating a Irish theme as the heavy usage of green demonstrates! Flag of Ireland is well used as it hangs down throughout and the counter has traditional feel from its rawness, disco ball shining while live music is sang helps create the atmosphere. Pints were cheap for Strongbow Dark Fruit and Cruzcampo, seating is comfortable with plenty availability and table was smooth!”
- Graeme Bromley
“I didn't want to go into this pub, but I was pleasantly surprised! Two Tim Taylors beer in hand pumps. The beer was good, locals friendly and the atmosphere was brilliant. We didn't eat here, but we'll be back.”
