  “Visited this restaurant on Friday night for an evening meal. Aesthetically looks good and has good decor. Pre-booked a table, and we were seating immediately upon arrival. I ordered the crispy chicken wings with fat chips. I think the chicken wings could have had more taste to them, they were a bit bland and lacking flavour in my opinion. Chips were really nice. Service was good, our waitress was very attentive and friendly. Overall a nice restaurant, but I think the food could be better hence the four stars.”

  “Ate on the terrace. Nice, unique experience, overlooking park. Food was fair to good, bit over priced for what it was. Service on the slow side, mainly because its a busy place. Great atmosphere. Really enjoyef the haricot bean soup.”

  “A really well-designed space. There are some artificial elements mixed in with real planting, but I get why, it’s hard to maintain that level of look otherwise. Overall it still feels properly biophilic and thought through. It’s one of those places that keeps going, bigger than it looks from the front, almost a bit like a TARDIS. Rustic, relaxed, slightly “travel-inspired” feel which works well. Service is excellent. Staff are warm, easy and handled everything well. They took burnt kids’ burgers off the bill without any fuss, and were great when a glass got smashed, which says a lot. Food is a bit mixed. The chicken was good, but the lamb was tough which was disappointing. Menu didn’t really change across two visits. Really strong for families. The kids’ setup is brilliant and makes a big difference to the overall experience. Outdoor space is lovely, heated, lots of planting, good atmosphere and very photogenic. Great atmosphere and service, food slightly inconsistent. Still an easy place to enjoy.”

  “We popped in the Urban garden on a Saturday after a bit of shopping. Really lovely aesthetic and lots of seating inside and out. The outdoor seating has a bar down the far end, if you are just looking to have a drink. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Food was lovely, the haddock scotch egg also lovely. Really nice selection of beer and cocktails. A must visit if you are in Bournemouth.”

  “Spectacular restaurant, this is Michelin star level food , what a gem this place is. The noodle broth, fish and chips was light flavourfull and fresh (my daughter who has been to many places in Spitalfields and Borough market and Mearsea is lean said it was 9 out of 10!) was so authentic reminded me of the flavours in the meals we had were exceptional! We were served attentively by Bradley who could not do enough for us. 7 star place the produce care and renowned used are world class !”

  “Beautiful gem of a restaurant! My partner and I came here for breakfast after a spontaneous one night stay in Bournemouth. I had the English Breakfast and added black pudding to it for an extra £1, he had the Eggs Benedict. Both were amazing! Good quality ingredients and cooked perfectly. The outdoor seating is lush, with gorgeous views over the gardens, and the inside looked great too. The toilets were also immaculate. Our only issue was that we didn’t come here for dinner the night before! 100% recommend.”

  “Our first visit as we have recently moved to the area. From arrival the staff were welcoming and servers so friendly, keeping us updated on when food will arrive and checking in on us. Water on the table was replaced when it was empty without us requesting. Fantastic service,thank you. Extensive cocktails and wine menu. Everything we like. Food was just as detailed on the menu and good quality. The Buddha bowl and trout was amazing. We will be visiting again. Thank you 🤗”

  “It was our first visit to Urban Gardens and we were made to feel welcome straight away. The staff were very friendly and quickly found us a table, which was much appreciated. We chose the two-course Sunday dinner and it was excellent value for money. The roast was generous, with plenty of meat and impressively large Yorkshire puddings. Best of all, it tasted just like a proper home-cooked Sunday roast. We really enjoyed our meal and will definitely be coming back.”

  “Vibrant and relaxed place to have a nice meal in the heart of Bournemouth. A very good standard of food and service. The energy of a bar but with a menu that would match, and better, most other restaurants. Will certainly visit again!”

  “Amazing staff and cosy atmosphere! We were looking for yummy fish and chips and this is the place for it! Fresh orange juice was on point 👌🏻 I wish the fries were crispier - they were too mushy to my liking. The burger is awesome!”
