Customer Review Summary

Reviewers most often return to the generous portions at this family-run Italian spot, with several calling the dishes huge and one noting the starters are big enough for two to share. Pizzas draw repeated praise, described as large, fresh and among the best some diners have had, while pasta dishes and a beef stroganoff are also called delicious. Close behind is the friendly front of house, with a manager and servers described as welcoming and attentive. Several reviewers also mention the authentic food and the family-run feel. A few call the value great, and a couple suggest booking for larger groups and sharing dishes. Parties of eight describe a busy room with a great atmosphere. One group had two birthdays noticed by staff, who brought out an Italian cake and candles, and another table was given a couple of free desserts.

“Fantastic. Eight of us dined at this wonderful venue on Saturday 9th October 2026. What a great night we all had. Authentic food, wonderfully presented by young friendly staff who went out of their way to ensure we had a fantastic night. When they found out that two of of group were celebrating their birthdays they even produced an Italian cake and candles, made the night extra special. Wonderful to dine at this restaurant that is so well run and owned by young friendly staff who enjoy what they do. So busy that’s its best to book. Thanks to all who made our night extra special. Well done.”

“Our party of 8 booked Etna restaurant for the 10th October. Good job we had booked, as the restaurant was very busy when we arrived with a great atmosphere and fun vibe. The fantastic front of house team sat us down quickly, gave us menus and took our drinks order. A good choice of drinks and wine were avaliable and all very reasonably priced. The menu has a really good choice of starters and main course to suit all tastes and again the prices are very competitive. We all had starters and they arrived together, hot where they needed to be and fresh and vibrant to look at. The portion size was very generous as well. We all chose different pasta dishes, a beef stroganoff and a pizza. Again the potions sizes were very generous and everything was absolutely delicious. The chef certainly knows how to cook. The front of house team were amazing, really attentive but not obtrusive and made sure we had everything we needed. The whole evening was an absolute joy from start to finish. We were so glad we found this little gem of a family run restaurant. Make sure you book if you are a large party. The restaurant was so popular and never empty. We would 100% recommed Etna restaurant and cant wait to return next time we are in Bournemouth. Dont miss out, pay this place a visit. You wont be dissapointed. Its fantastic. A huge thank you for making our evening so enjoyable.”

“Often drove past this gem and wanted to try it out. My partner and I agreed it was up there with one of the best pizzas we’ve ever had! Loved the fact it’s family run authentic Italian. Staff were friendly and it accommodated family’s and couples, small and intimate (well done to chef!)”
