About Lovitaly
Lovitaly is an Italian restaurant at 1 Market Pl in Ringwood, family run and owned by Italians. It hosts evening set menus themed around a single region of Italy, including Campagna, Tuscany and Puglia. Each dish is paired with a glass of wine, and the owner shares the history and culture of the featured region, so guests learn about the place behind the food. The regular menu covers pasta, pizza, broccoli and gorgonzola soup and seafood risotto, with a dish of the day such as pear and pecorino ravioli. Lunch and dinner are both served, along with coffee, pastries, cakes and Italian wines. Vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options are available, including a gluten-free cake, and oat milk and lactose-free milk are on hand. The restaurant spans more than one floor, and Italian food products are sold to take home.

Customer Review Summary
Regional set-menu evenings stand out most, with reviewers calling the Campagna, Tuscan and Puglia nights highlights where the food and wine pairings were really good. Beyond those, diners praise authentic, well executed Italian cooking, naming a pear and pecorino ravioli as the dish of the day, broccoli and gorgonzola soup, seafood risotto, mussels and pasta, pizza, and garlic bread described as to die for. Coffee, pastries and gluten free cake also come up, along with vegan and gluten free options, and one reviewer calls the place tidy and spotless. Staff are repeatedly described as lovely and friendly, and one reviewer mentions huge portions. Criticism is minor. One diner wanted the mozzarella served with tomatoes that had more flavour, another notes the soup arrived very hot, and one found it crowded with only one floor open. At the regional evenings, reviewers say the owner shares the history and culture of the featured region, and each dish arrives paired with a glass of wine.

“I went for lunch which I thoroughly enjoyed. I had soup for starters as I was cold, the the broccoli and gorgonzola soup did the trick. Just be aware, it was VERY hot. A seafood risotto came next which was lovely. No tea for me, I was full!”

“Wonderful place, very quaint, lovely staff and nice ambience, it was a bit crowded as only one floor was open but we enjoyed it and felt comfy and cosy. The food is absolutely delicious as and gorgeous, beautiful presented, well sized portions and they have vegan, non gluten and veterinarian options Also they offer oat milk and lactose free milk. The place was tidy and spotless and we loved that fact that you can bay various Italian food like pasta and cake, they had also gluten free cake options! The total came to £22.50 per person and that included drink, breakfast and cake each”

“If you crave authentic Italian cuisine in a homely setting with delicious wine and friendly waiting staff, then look no further. Lovitaly is by far one of my favourite restaurants in the Dorset/Hampshire area and I always make an effort to come whenever I am in town. There is a wide range of options on the menu for everyone, with many extra dishes that go beyond your typical pasta or pizza to show some of the incredible culinary delights Italy has to offer. They also offer special evenings with set menus designed around different regions of Italy, so you can delve deeper into the culinary world of specific areas, including information from the owner on the history and culture of that region! The Campagna evening was a definite highlight. The variety of drinks, wines, pastries, and sweets on offer is also very extensive, if that takes your fancy. The owner, Cristina, and her husband are always so friendly and welcoming every time we come, as are the rest of the waiting staff. They always somehow seem to laugh at my dad's terrible jokes! You can really feel a sense of community and family every time you visit. If you haven't yet attended this fine establishment, I would absolutely put it to the top of your list!!”

“I really enjoyed my mussels and pasta! A bit of feedback would be to serve the mozzarella with better tomatoes - even in winter in the U.K. one can get ones with some flavour ☺️”
