About Black Horse
Black Horse is a pub with rooms on Bury Rd in Tonge Fold, Bolton, so guests can book an overnight stay at number 378 as well as drink there. The event lineup includes a quiz, karaoke and disco nights. For sport, HD screens show both Sky and BT Sports, and beer deals run while 6 Nations games are on. The bar pours a range of drinks and has a cocktail selection. The pub does not serve food, so it works as a place for drinks, matches and events. Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often praise the friendly welcome from staff and fellow drinkers, with a good atmosphere that several describe as friendly. Entertainment comes close behind, with quiz, karaoke and disco nights mentioned as regular fixtures. Drinks earn steady approval too: a good pint that doesn't cost a fortune, a good range of alcohol and soft drinks, and Guinness and Carling deals while 6 Nations games are on. One visitor who dropped in unplanned with a daughter found the prices fair and wished they could have stayed for a proper drink, and another enjoyed an overnight stay and the rooms. One reviewer notes the pub doesn't serve food. The one complaint about the drinks comes from a visitor drawn by talk of a great beer selection, who saw plenty of hand pumps on show but was abruptly told the pub doesn't do cask ales.

“Absolutely lovely little pub. Nipped in with my daughter unplanned as going through on a drive, and wish we could have sat for a proper drink. Price for what we had seemed really fair and staff were friendly and welcomed. Other people sat were really friendly too. A nice little place can come to alone or with my family. A little gem”
