About Nashta
Nashta is an Indian all-day breakfast cafe in Blackburn, at 229-231 Accrington Rd. The kitchen builds its menu around the desi breakfast thali, which comes with parathas, dhaal and sides such as pickle, yogurt or aloo bhujia, and dishes are made fresh to order. Fresh mithai and jalebi cover the sweet side of the menu, and tandoori chai is served to drink. The cafe is run by its owners, a husband-and-wife team.

Customer Review Summary
The desi breakfast thali is the main draw. Reviewers describe parathas that are crispy outside and soft inside, chicken qeema, and a cup of chai, and one singles out the dhaal in the thali as a highlight. Several say the flavours feel familiar and comforting, close to Pakistani and Punjabi breakfasts. The full English breakfast comes close behind, praised for its bacon, and one parent says their picky son with autism loved it, with no grease anywhere. Others ordered paratha omelettes, aloo paratha and tandoori chai, and one loved the fresh mango juice. Food is described as made fresh to order, and one reviewer notes the kitchen will go lighter on the oil typical of desi nashta. The owners come across as friendly and accommodating, including to a family of six, and reviewers mention generous portions and fast service. The home-cooked feel runs through the praise, and one group left their plates spotless.

“Had a delicious breakfast at Nashta! This was my first time trying an Indian-style Thali desi breakfast, and I really enjoyed it. The flavours were very similar to Pakistani and Punjabi breakfast, which made it feel familiar and comforting. Everything was fresh, tasty and full of flavour. Mashallah, the food was excellent, and I would definitely recommend giving it a try. I’ll certainly be coming back again!”

“10/10 We ordered 1 English Breakfast, 2 paratha omelette, one aloo paratha and 3 tandoori chai. Honestly the cutest cafe ever. Husband and wife team I think. Food was made fresh to order, and you can even ask them to lay off the oil typical for desi nashta 😅. Honestly 100% coming back when in the area.”
