Customer Review Summary
A clear divide shapes the reviews. Several returning customers praise the varied menu, tasty food, reasonable prices, and friendly staff, with the lasagne from the specials singled out. One reviewer, however, describes being turned away at the entrance after explaining that their two harnessed dogs were service dogs, calling the incident discriminatory. Most still recommend the place warmly.

“Decided to give this place a try for a birthday lunch, we are keen to support local businesses and the website says dogs are welcome with open arms and shows a picture on the website of a dog inside to support this. We turned up as a party of five with two medium size dogs, both very well behaved, both very used to going in to cafes and shops and crowded places as both dogs are service dogs. We were told at the entrance that no dogs are allowed inside and could only sit outside, in the rain. I told the two young girls who worked there that both dogs were service dogs, both dogs had badges on their harnesses clearly showing that they were service dogs, yet when I told her this she just repeated no dogs allowed inside and walked off, leaving us stood in the entrance in an awkward situation. We left and went somewhere else that is actually dog friendly / doesn’t discriminate. I suspect this to be a lack of awareness or training, hence highlighting the following: “Refusing entry or service to a person accompanied by a service dog is classed as unlawful discrimination under the equality act of 2010. Businesses such as shops, restaurants, hotels, pubs and banks must make reasonable adjustments to any no pets policies to allow service dogs”. To clarify, both dogs displayed clear badges saying service dog and staff were also informed twice that the dogs were service dogs. Having read some of the other reviews since our visit, maybe we dodged a bullet by being turned away.”
