  “First time trying the Perizinos Selly Oak branch, as my usual go to is the Marston Green one. After finishing at the gym in Solihull, I drove past the Hall Green branch but decided to try Selly Oak instead. I was greeted by Nabeel, the main man himself, and the service was top level from start to finish. The food was just as good as at the Marston Green branch—fresh, hot and full of flavour. The shop was spotless, the décor looked great, and even though it was closing time, they kindly let me eat inside. I was really impressed with this branch. Great food, excellent service and a very welcoming atmosphere. I’ll definitely be coming back!🔥👊”

  “I have always gone to the Dudley Road branch but thought we would try the Selly oak branch for a delivery. The food came lukewarm, the Caesar salad was tiny for a whopping £9.55 and had no Caesar dressing, my taste pot with pasta had a hair and bone in it and the double chicken burger we ordered came as a single. We will not be ordering from this branch again and will be going to our regular branch which always has great service.”

  “Blazing hot day today, after a family swimming session this was a lovely place to dine at with air conditioning!!! Clean and easy to order.. food was healthy and really good just a tad bit salty on some of the chicken meals we ordered but we devoured it all as we were famished after swimming. I would recommend the restaurant for their chicken breast meals and wings to be a little bit saucier and succulent but that’s probably more of a preference. I really liked their pasta side, like we had so many on our table as we ordered them with the meal deal.. peri fries were just too salty for me but obv the peri salt is the whole purpose of peri fries however it just didn’t cut it for me so I wished I had regular fries. They didn’t really have a house sauce to try so a perinaise was offered but that’s not my kind of thing either. All in all, it was very filling and would defo go again just to try their peri chicken again, this time will defo get whole chicken and their platters looked fire and great value so wouldn’t have had to spend over £80 if I had gone for them. Big shout out to the staff for being so helpful, couldn’t get the name of the brother that helped literally by going out of his way to serve our big family and getting everything right! Thank you so much !”

  “Ordered for collection for a scheduled order for 4:40pm today. Arrive at 4:30pm the chips were horribly stale. I asked the staff why are they stale they said you food has been sat in the food heater for a while. I explained I’ve arrived at the time my order was scheduled for. The staff member said he would replace it with some fresher cooked chips. Instead he just reheated the chips that were given back and now they’re even worse. Poor food preparation and service. The food in other branches seems to have higher standards and quality.”

  “We visited Peri Finos yesterday evening and ordered a Chicken & Pasta Tastepot (Hot). We have ordered from Peri Finos before and have always had a positive experience, although this was our first time visiting this particular branch. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with both the customer service and the food quality. The young lady who served us, who was wearing a hijab, came across as blunt and unfriendly when taking our order. We felt that her attitude was unwelcoming and did not reflect the level of customer service we would expect. We also noticed her speaking in Arabic to an Uber Eats driver while serving customers, which we personally felt was unprofessional in a customer-facing environment. To make matters worse, when we got home and opened our food, we found a hair inside one of the Peri Finos boxes. This was extremely off-putting and raised concerns about hygiene standards at the branch. Overall, this experience was very disappointing and fell well below the standard we have come to expect from Peri Finos. We hope this feedback is taken seriously and that steps are taken to improve both customer service and food hygiene.”

  “Just as you think it’s getting better, it gets worse! I’ve had a few issues with Piri Fino getting my order wrong via delivery e.g. putting cheese on my order as someone who can’t eat cheese, sending the wrong drink. I gave them a chance again last week and my order was perfect, so I thought they were back on track. I was so wrong. I hate leaving bad reviews and always give ‘benefit of the doubt’ but today’s order was the worst I’ve had. My plain chicken was contaminated with some random sauce. Even worse, the chicken was full of black bits and as I digged further in there was even pink, underdone bits of chicken. I also ordered extra chicken, half of it was a portion made a while ago and left to go dry and cold, the other half was hot but still pink in places. It shocks me how anyone could think it’s acceptable to send an order out like that. Avoid this place, unless you like the thrill of not knowing how your order’s going to turn up.”

  “Food here is banging & the service is excellent Haja. Thank you! Well done Piri Finos outstanding. This is my favourite place to eat. I had the grilled chicken breast steak but the double steak in pitta bread lemon and herb cooked to perfection freshly squeeze oranges in my juice. Absolutely WoW!”

  “I ordered the taste pots with spicy rice. The food was warm and tasted fine, no issues. The problem was the volume of food. The box itself isn’t huge, it was just over half full. In the past it was full to the brim. I was sill feeling hungry afterwards. Paying full price for half the food isn’t great.”

  “Date of Review: 15 January 2026 16:15 First win of the day. I managed to get parking. That already put me in a good mood before even stepping inside. The restaurant itself is clean, fresh-looking, and well laid out with plenty of seating. Nothing cramped, nothing scruffy. It feels like a place that’s actually looked after. There was one person taking orders, calm and organised, no rushing, no attitude. I took my time going through the menu and placed the order without feeling pressured. Total came to £46.45 for two people, which felt fair for what we ordered. We went for: Half a chicken, cut into two, hot flavour Two lots of three-piece wings, hot flavour Two pasta dishes with sliced chicken and cheese One portion of piri chips The first thing to come out was the pasta, and honestly, this set the bar dangerously high. This pasta was next level. Every single piece was coated in sauce and cheese properly. No dry bits, no shortcuts. Add the sliced chicken into the mix and the bite was genuinely divine. Comforting, rich, and perfectly balanced. I was not expecting the pasta to be the standout item, but it absolutely was. I would go back just to order three bowls of the pasta with cheese and chicken without hesitation. Then came the piri chips. Thick-cut, well-seasoned, and generous. No stingy portions here. They held up perfectly and were clearly made to be eaten with sauce. Next came the chicken. Grilled beautifully with proper grill marks, and to my surprise, it was incredibly juicy and moist. Not dry in the slightest. The chicken was properly drenched in the hot sauce, which is exactly how it should be. The sauce clung to the meat rather than sitting in a pool. Unlike places like Nando’s, where you end up having to add sauce yourself, this was done right from the start. Then came the wings, and these deserve special mention. These were not tiny wings. Full wings with the tip still on, grilled and charred perfectly. Juicy, tender, and falling off the bone. The meat slid cleanly off, and once again, the sauce was generous and well stuck to the chicken. No extra sauces needed at all. In fact, the only reason we asked for an extra tub was to dip the chips into the basting sauce because it was that good. Every single item we ordered was spot on. There was not a weak link in the meal. Everything tasted deliberate, well-cooked, and properly seasoned. I would choose this place every time over other chicken spots without a second thought, and my order would always be the same. Pasta with cheese and chicken, wings, and that hot sauce. It was also nice that when we arrived it was fairly quiet, but by the time we were finishing up, the place was packed. That alone says a lot. They take card and cash, and they have toilet facilities as well. Final word: If you genuinely want to eat properly, get fed, and then go home and have one of those deep, satisfying sleeps that only comes after a serious meal, then order exactly what I did. The pasta, the chicken, the wings, the chips. That combination will sort you out.”

  “We had a great experience at Piri Fino in Selly Oak – simple, quick, and delicious! The service was excellent – friendly staff and everything was brought out in good time. I had the chicken wrap, which was packed with flavour, juicy chicken, and a nice kick of spice. The chips were crispy and well-seasoned, and the pasta was creamy and comforting – perfect as a side dish. To note, the menu says signature chips, but it's just regular chips, albeit they weren't greasy or thin french fries. Even ordered a doggy bag to go. Overall, it was really solid food, generous portions, and a place I’d happily return to. Great value and quality! ⭐ Rating: 9/10 ⭐”
