Customer Review Summary
Breakfast is the clear draw at Tasteology, with reviewers repeatedly praising the shakshuka, mushroom toast, homemade merguez sausages, the Royal Breakfast, and the Ketology breakfast alongside poached eggs and egg hollandaise. Coffee comes up almost as often, with the cortado and especially the pistachio latte singled out as standouts, and one reviewer also mentions the mango lassi and baklava. Several describe the chef personally greeting tables and making recommendations, and the counter staff and owner are called friendly and welcoming, including one account of help settling a toddler. The space is noted as small and prone to feeling busy, and one reviewer flags a slight service delay though the food made up for it; another calls the egg hollandaise and English breakfast good but pricey, totaling around thirty five pounds for two. Parking is mentioned as limited by one diner despite free street spots nearby. Multiple reviewers say they plan to return, with one noting they polished off their plate entirely.

“Really lovely local family restaurant. We went for breakfast and had the mushroom toast and shakshuka plus coffees. Food was lovely, fresh cooked to order. Coffee was great, especiallythe cortado. Homemade merguez sausages were delicious. The service team were warm, engaging and couldn't have made us more welcome. Lots of others in there from couples to large families but it didn't feel crowded. A great find for Saturday breakfast and we'll definitely be back”

“Wonderful service, and the food was amazing! I loved the mango lassi and the English breakfast. I went with my sisters and they were all impressed with their food and the drinks they ordered. The chef was really friendly and funny — we hope to visit again soon! There’s also a beautiful park nearby called Grove Lane Park, so you can easily make a morning of it.”

“Small place which can get busy really soon. The food was good but expensive. The chef was a friendly guy who personally came and met everyone. We ordered the egg hollandase, and English breakfast. Total cost for 2 people was £35.”
