About The Trigger Pond
The Trigger Pond is a country village pub near Bicester, set on Bicester Rd, with ceiling beams indoors and a large beer garden outside. On Tuesdays a two-for-one pizza offer gives the kitchen's pizzas a weekly focus. The menu also lists burgers, including a bacon cheeseburger, and focaccia with olives as a starter. A conservatory adds a further place to sit, and theme nights give regulars and groups of friends something to plan around. Walk-ins are taken without a booking. The pub opens Tuesday to Sunday and closes on Mondays.

Customer Review Summary
The caveats are specific. One diner found the bacon cheeseburger overly salty, and expects lots of small children on a busy Friday evening. A more critical review describes a shortened menu after a kitchen problem, a greasy, gummy pizza, chips with no potato flavour, a Cajun chicken burger with no flavour, and bland garlic bread. That reviewer also reports a forgotten water order and music so loud they asked twice for it to be turned down.

“I took my sister, niece and nephew to the pub for lunch because we’ve always had nice meals here and today was just as great. The food was great and my niece, who needs gluten free food, was really pleased with the attention to her dietary needs (Sophie, the waitress, was really attentive). Sitting in the conservatory was really lovely too. We will be back!”

“Happened to be in the area and starving, seemed great on Google and turned out even better in person. Very friendly and courteous staff. Had focaccia with olives as a starter; it came lovely and warm and absolutely delicious. For main we had the sea bass which was pan fried on a bed of smashed potatoes, leeks, capers and edamame, and it far exceeded pub standards. I would definitely come back to try some other dishes on the menu”

“Nice setting in the countryside close to Bicester. Pleasant food and service. Went on two for one pizza, (Tuesday), so split the pizza which was about 7/8 inch size. Beer was probably the best aspect, tasted great! Obviously best aspect. When is the 2 for 1 beer day?”

“Really enjoyed our meal here; the team fitted us in without a booking and were super friendly & attentive. Great pub food at a very reasonable price. Will return!”

“Great little country pub with a really nice atmosphere. We had the smoked salmon to start and the steak & ale pie for mains, both were spot on—proper tasty and exactly what you want from a pub meal. Friendly service and a really enjoyable visit overall. Would definitely come back 👍”
