  “Enjoyed a beautiful meal at The King & I tonight. The service was so friendly, welcoming and funny. The decor is beautiful and cosy - there’s lots to look at and the space was warm and inviting. The food tasted authentic, perfectly spiced and really delicious. Great value. Will definitely be back!”

  “Great little local restaurant. Like you're eating in someone's front room. Super authentic and tasty food. Really friendly service. Good prices. Portions are good and most importantly the food is excellent - the Penang curry was my favourite but I also appreciated the level of spice in the pad krapao.”

  “Went here a few weeks ago with two of my friends and the service is better than anything I’ve experienced in London. Real authentic feel and so happy to talk to you about Thailand and Thai food. Couldn’t recommend more, 100% the best restaurant in beckenham”

  “The King and I was recommended to me by a friend who had visited the previous week, and it did not disappoint. The food, atmosphere and staff make the experience one you can’t get anywhere else in London. With great conversation, food and beer made us reluctant to leave. Will definitely be coming back soon and bringing friends”

  “Went with two other people and really enjoyed everything about this place. I haven’t found anywhere that sells Chang beer so that was great and it was very well priced. The main course of prawn panang curry was amazing 1 creamy, hearty and a lot of natural flavours. The server was lovely too and informed me it’s his mum who works in the kitchen and there is no MSG in any of the food! Would highly recommend not just because it’s a local business but because the food is actually great and very reasonably priced”

  “Fabulous little gem of a place. Absolutely delicious authentic Thai choices, I was particularly impressed with the chicken Thai salad and the fresh flavours coming through, Massaman to die for, the prawn tempura and the overall quality of the prawns throughout - fat juicy and perfectly heavenly. The owners are the sweetest, taking time and care to cook everything perfectly so you're not rushed. We had a fabulous family celebration in this intimate and homely little dingly dell of a place. Felt like we'd been warmly welcomed into their home, we'll be back again and again. Best wishes, The Budds XXX”
