Good to know

“Bosco Pizzeria is inspired by the pizzerias of Naples, New York & San Francisco. With a focus on and a passion for the finest Italian produce, they have created a menu of small plates, deli meats and cheeses, salads, pasta & of course, Neopolitan style wood fired pizza. The focus in the restaurant is on service with personality and classic Italian cookery in a vibrant atmosphere created by an open kitchen and a mixture of table and counter seating”

Customer Review Summary

Pizza is what most reviewers come for, with the crust described as chewy with a good char, and the toppings as flavourful. The porchetta pizza is named most often, alongside the Margherita, a truffle pizza and the Fra Diavolo, and one reviewer notes a separate vegan menu with many options. Close behind are the starters and pasta, including zucchini fritti, arancini and a meat pasta, plus salads one diner calls generously portioned rather than an afterthought. Homemade tiramisu earns praise from two reviewers, one calling it a generous portion. Staff are often described as friendly and warm, and the indoor and outdoor seating both draw compliments. Service pace is the recurring complaint. Reviewers mention slow waiting staff and having to wave for attention, and one says starters, mains and drinks were all put down at once on tables too tiny to hold them. One group found two of their pizzas tasteless, and another mentions a loud children's party. Two reviewers were caught off guard by the service charge added to the bill.

“Incredible restaurant! Had a whole separate vegan menu with many options, which I really appreciate. I had the Fra Diavolo and it was so delicious! Also had an Aperol Spritz and my friend had a Hugo Spritz, which were both great! Lovely warm and romantic atmosphere! 10/10 recommend!”

“We visited on a weekday lunchtime and sat outside at a lovely shady table overlooking the beautiful courtyard. It was busy in the outside seating area, but we had no difficulty in getting a table at the time of our visit, just before 1pm. We had a couple of pizzas which we didn’t have to wait long for, they were both absolutely delicious. We tried the porchetta and Venetian pizzas, both superb - the ingredients seemed really good quality with a lovely balance of flavours in the toppings, and a delicious chewy crust with the perfect amount of char. The staff were really warm and friendly, very professional, and made us feel really welcome. Lovely spot, I’ll definitely be back.”

“Arancini and their pasta were nice but their SERVICE sucked!!!! We had ordered for our starters, main and drinks and the waitress just threw it all in front of us altogether! Their tables are so tiny, it couldn’t even fit it all. Moreover, the service was late, they weren’t clearing even after seeing that we are done given the tables are so tiny and it’s uncomfortable. And when the bill came there was 12%-15% service charge already included in it? Like what!? Never going back!”

“We started with the Zucchini Fritti and they were fantastic! We each grabbed a pizza, and had the regular Margherita and Porchetta pizzas and throughly enjoyed. Would have given 5 stars except for really slow ,but friendly, wait staff given not a busy evening.”
