Customer Review Summary
The recurring complaint is the optional service charge added to the bill. Two reviewers who asked to have it removed describe the manner turning hostile. One says the receipt was grabbed and scrunched, and that a second server then asked the same question. Several call the food expensive, and one found the chicken had a weird taste and texture, almost like fish. Even so, one reviewer says staff found a table in a packed room for their elderly parents and fussed over them all evening.

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely amazing Spanish tapas! We were a group of five and ordered around two tapas each, along with beers and sangria, and honestly, everything was delicious. The tapas were packed with flavour, and it’s so hard to pick favourites because everything was so good! If I had to choose, the cerdo, setas, chorizo croquettes and calamari were definitely my top four. 🤤 And then the desserts… oh my God! The Tarta de Santiago and Basque cheesecake were absolutely delicious and the perfect way to finish the meal. Great food, great drinks and such a lovely experience. If you’re in Bath and love Spanish food, definitely give this place a try — you won’t regret it! 🇪🇸❤️”

“Sunshine, sangria and authentic Spanish flavours - you really couldn’t ask for much more! We’d wanted to try this place for ages, and it genuinely took us back to our holidays in Spain🥰 The food was authentic and delicious, the staff were friendly, and the hidden courtyard was such a lovely surprise! We ordered the patatas bravas, beef croquetas, calamares fritos with alioli, berenjena con miel de cana, tortilla de patatas and sangria✨ The beef croquetas were the standout dish - perfectly crisp on the outside with a rich, flavourful filling. We’d also highly recommend the tortilla, which was wonderfully soft with a deliciously runny centre! If you’re looking for authentic Spanish food in Bath, this is definitely one to add to your list. We’ll definitely be back! 🇪🇸❤️”

“We came here based on the great reviews. The food was good - the goats cheese, fig, honey and jamon was amazing. It was quite expensive, £80 for 6 plates. There is a 12.5% optional service charge. This is quite high and I asked to take it off at the end. The (I am assuming) owner completely changed her demeanour. She went from happy to hostile. If it is optional, do not be surprised when people want to remove it. If you want everyone to pay it, increase your prices. We are not the US, please do not feel the need to pay these optional service charges. People are hoping you are too awkward to ask to remove it, and you're just paying extra for nothing.”

“This is my parent’s favourite restaurant probably in the whole world atm (94 and 91). The place was packed busy but somehow they found us a table and then fussed over the aged Ps. And my, she loves a fuss. Thank you so much. Was fantastic evening.”

“A welcoming, friendly place to have some authentic Spanish and Basque food and drinks in Bath. Many of the typical tapas are there like tortilla de patatas, gambas, pan con tomate, croquetas, boquerones, and of course some Basque pintxos. Throw in a tinto de verano and It feels like you're in Spain while you're there. The service is excellent.”
