About The Ghillie Dhu
The Ghillie Dhu is a bar in Ayr, on Burns Statue Square at 11-15. It trades as a bar, so drinks are the focus and orders are placed at the counter rather than through a table service arrangement. The address puts it on one of the town's squares, with the entrance directly on Burns Statue Square itself. Beyond the bar listing, no kitchen, menu or additional service is recorded for the venue, so visitors can expect a straightforward drinking room. Anyone planning a visit will find it under the single Bar category, which is how the business describes itself.

Customer Review Summary
The takeaway Christmas dinner draws the warmest praise, with two reviewers calling it delicious and easy to warm through, one noting the kitchen accommodated repeated changes to numbers at short notice and delivered to the door. The cheesecake gets singled out, as do the free hotdogs handed over at pickup. Against that, one drinks-only visitor found the men's toilet rancid and wanted hourly attention on busy weekends.

“Just had a great early Christmas Dinner delivered to home by Dougie. So grateful it could be done at short notice and was delicious! Nothing was a problem even though we changed the numbers a couple of times. Have to say the cheesecake was to die for but between us we covered all the options and not a single complaint from the whole family. Thanks again Michael, it was magic and would thoroughly recommend to anyone.”
