  “Arrived around 2.30 and asked for a table for 2. The lady behind the bar immediately looked at her watch for a good few seconds before offering us a table. We felt a bit uncomfortable thinking they were closing, but after checking online we saw that closing time was midnight. We both ordered a main course. Both meals were delicious and very large portions, so definately value for money. We would have ordered a sweet but after sitting for about 10/15 minutes with plates not lifted, and not approached, we decided not to bother. Not sure if this is the normal process but had to go to the bar to ask for and pay the bill. Room for improvement with service, food brilliant, tasteful decor, good layout.”

  “Although the food is of a decent quality the service we just received has ensured I wont be back in the premises. Ordered a pint of Guinness on arrival which was perfectly fine, ordered a second that was served in a clearly dirty glass that made the taste of the pint disgusting. Upon requesting a replacement it was then slammed on the table as if I had committed an offence. Upon leaving I was handed the bill to show I was being charged for three pints. Upon querying this I was told by the youngster serving that the manager had said 'as you had taken a drink out of it you were being charged for it'. To return a drink as undrinkable and be charged for it is absolutely appalling service and will ensure I will not return to this venue.”

  “Great food and excellent service! The dishes were fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was warm and comfortable, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a meal. Highly recommended! Will definitely be back!”

  “We’ve just moved to Coylton and, after hearing good things from our next-door neighbours, decided to try out the Coylton Arms. From the outside the building could use a little love, but once inside we were pleasantly surprised. The interior is cosy and welcoming, and although it’s not a big pub, that actually adds to the charm. The staff were very attentive – we were served quickly, and the waiting time for food was OK even though it was a busy Saturday evening. The food itself was delicious, hearty, and had that “home-cooked but better” feel. The children’s portions were particularly generous, which was a lovely surprise. We hadn’t booked a table, but luckily there was space for us. That said, I’d recommend booking ahead, especially at the weekend, as it was packed. All in all, a great local find that we’ll definitely be visiting regularly.”

  “Went for a family birthday meal. Difficult to judge service as there was alot of us but was good non the less. Food was nice, for the price payed it would say it's a really decent meal. Portion size was good and food tasted fresh and cooked well. Will return again hopefully for more family event's..”

  “A very nicely run business, situated just 5 minutes drive from Sundrum Castle. The establishment is simply beautiful inside, staff were very friendly and accommodated for my sons milk intolerance with ease. The food is simply amazing and the portion sizes are generous. I was surprised with the pricing as it was very good for the size of your portion. This was my first time visiting and everytime we visit Sundrum Castle we will defiantly be going back here for dinner.”
