About The Nash
The Nash is a New American restaurant in Houston, serving modern American fare in a casual setting with a terrace, a bar, and happy hour specials. Much of its identity comes from the contrast between approachable bar staples and a broader mains menu that spans a wide price range, giving the kitchen room to move between low-key plates and more involved dishes. The Braised Short Rib Pappardelle anchors the mains as a popular pick, while the Texas Style Tater Tots offer a familiar side with a regional twist, and the Old Fashioned leads the bar lineup as a popular choice. The terrace and bar shape how meals unfold here, whether someone stops in for a drink and a snack or settles into a full dinner. Reservations are advised during busier evening hours.

Customer Review Summary
The Nash draws consistent praise for its food quality and service, with several reviewers calling out specific dishes as standouts. The Braised Short Rib Pappardelle, four cheese ravioli, and the cauliflower hot wings come up repeatedly as favorites, and the Nash burger also earns praise for its thick, flavorful meat and well-seasoned fries. Cocktails are a highlight too, with the Old Fashioned and the Arod cocktail singled out, and one reviewer raves about the flaming bacon appetizer with rosemary. Service is frequently described as friendly and professional, with quick seating even without a reservation. A few reviewers note trade-offs: one found the snapper overcooked and underseasoned, another felt the wait staff was disorganized with long waits for mains and the bill, and one mentioned the cauliflower hot wings looked nothing like the menu photo. A couple of diners also note that certain dishes can take time, though they attribute that to food being made fresh.

“Great recommendation from Google. Here in Houston for work and decided to stop in and treat myself. Service was great, Bartender Luis was patient and very kind and made the experience even better. I will definitely be back!”

“Great service and food! Quick seating even without a reservation. The pork shanks were sweet and spicy paired with a sorbet dessert made a perfect meal, with a cup of coffee”

“One of the few restaurants where you can use words like excellence to describe it. The mood, atmosphere, service, etc. were all on point. From the moment you enter you can tell it’s the ideal place to have a fine dining style experience with a touch of romanticism. The decor is elegant and the tables have candle lights for that romantic diner vibes. Staff are professional and are serving the entire experience with a smile from start to finish. The food is equally great, do ask for any specials; even though they may be more expensive, it is worth it. The order did take some time, but was made fresh. You can tell when a restaurant uses frozen food vs making it fresh, and I say this restaurant is the latter based off my experience.”

“I ordered the “Cauliflower ‘Hot Wings’” ($14), and unfortunately the actual dish looked nothing like the menu photo. …”

“Fantastic restaurant, great atmosphere and the service was top notch with Marco. He's a seasoned pro for sure. We had the Prime Ribeye medium rare and it was absolutely amazing. …”
