“Stopped by Boxx Coffee and had a cortado made with their seasonal Rwanda beans. The highlight was being able to pick up some of the black tea characteristics, which gave the drink a nice level of clarity and let the origin stand out. The cortado was served a bit hotter than a cortado should be, which muted some of the flavors early on. As it cooled, the coffee became much more expressive and the Rwanda profile started to shine through. The crema and microfoam on top were also a little thicker than what I’d typically expect from a cortado, and the latte art was fairly minimal. The space itself was beautiful and a good place to hang out. The service was friendly and straightforward. Overall, the coffee was good and I would definitely return.”
