About Velo Coffee

Velo Coffee is a coffee shop in Los Angeles, set along South Figueroa Street. Much of its character comes from a compact menu that pairs coffee drinks with a few distinct pastries, giving the space a focused, roaster-forward feel. The Lemon Meringue Cold Brew anchors the coffee program, while a London Fog offers a tea-based alternative, and the Kouign-Amann serves as the pastry side. These items suit a quick stop or a short sit-down, with the layout supporting both laptop work and takeaway. The menu spans a range of price points, reflecting the mix of simple drinks and more composed offerings.

Customer Review Summary

Diners consistently single out the coffee, describing it as lovely, strong, and fresh, with the horchata nitro cold brew and lemon meringue latte as standout picks. The jalapeño cream cheese croissant and Kouign-amann also draw frequent praise for being delicious and better than expected. Staff are repeatedly called friendly and polite, with one server noted for bringing drinks to a table at the food court. Several reviewers mention the shop is tiny with no indoor seating, though the plaza outside has plenty of tables. A few note the space can get crowded inside and that interaction with baristas is limited since orders are placed at a kiosk. One reviewer reports a serious issue with an Uber Eats order, describing a half sandwich with the top of the bagel missing and appearing eaten, calling it unsanitary and stating they will not order again.

Drink and food delicious…the place is a pick up spot. The space is tiny and no seating but outside there is a plaza with plenty of tables. Another employee came in and got the food items done very quickly and got me a cup of water while I waited for my drink. Staff was polite, all customers seemed happy and excited so I think locally it’s a great spot and it’s downstairs in a big shopping area so it’s a great location. I was off my diet and it was a splurge! It was worth it!!! Jalapeño croissant and tiramisu latte mmm

Ordered from this place through ubereats. First order that came they gave me the wrong sandwich. I reordered the sandwich and got a half sandwich where the top part of the bagel is missing and seems to be eaten already. Ridiculous and very unsanitary . Won’t be ordering from here anymore.

For my first visit, I tried an iced chai latte with strawberry cold foam and a chocolate croissant. The croissant was yummy; I ordered it warmed so each bite had melted chocolate and hit the spot. The chai was ok; the flavor was quite …
