Customer Review Summary

The rotating dining room and panoramic city views are the defining draw, with most reviewers calling the experience unforgettable for anniversaries and birthdays. Many single out the spaghetti and meatballs, NY Strip steak, and ricotta appetizer, while desserts like the peach panacotta and chocolate cream puff come up repeatedly as highlights. Attentive, personable servers are frequently praised, with several guests noting complimentary champagne toasts, free desserts, and anniversary cards that make celebrations feel special. A few reviewers caution that the food can be inconsistent, citing lukewarm or fatty steaks, cold fries, and underwhelming dessert, and one diner reports a sauce spill that was poorly handled by staff. Even so, most return for the views and the service, with several saying they plan to make the Compass an annual tradition.

Had a great experience with a group. Everything was amazing and the views just added. I didn't get an entree picture, as I just dug in and devoured it. But I did get dessert.

Epic birthday dining experience! Breathtaking views, especially when the sun set & the lights dimmed. Nick was our waiter & he was phenomenal! He took pictures for us, helped with drink & dinner questions & made our entire experience perfect. Drinks were a fruity cocktail for my sister & Espresso Martinis…mine had Baileys & moms did not…we weren’t aware they could do that & we were surprised when Nick gave us that option. Entrees were Spaghetti & Meatballs & the Duck with a side of asparagus…everything was melt in your mouth delicious! My twin & I were celebrating our bday & were pleasantly surprised with the Happy Birthday card at the table when we arrived & really enjoyed the peach panacotta dessert with a Happy Birthday chocolate “card” & candles. This restaurant was top notch & definitely a dining experience we will never forget! Nick is definitely an asset…we kept commenting all night about how great he was & will never forget how he made us feel special on our birthday.

we had a reservation to eat here and came around 6:30pm. this was my first time at the compass. we sat by the windows, the dining floor slowly rotates as you dine, allowing you to see the sights of Glendale az while you enjoy your delicious meal! I got the spaghetti and meatballs (veal I believe), and the portion size, presentation, and taste was definitely worth it. my other half got the steak and fries, and it was also amazing. very perfectly cooked steak and fries, very fresh and delicious. with the reservation we got a $30 champagne toast, to love!! we tried an alcoholic drink there that was also very tasty, sweet but with a kick. for our first time there our waitress kindly offered us a free dessert and we got an amazing chocolate creme puff called Chocolate Cherry Profiterole and chocolate sorbet. our waitress was so kind, she engaged in conversation and was personable. she informed us that she has been with the compass for 10 years!! truly amaze :) and she gave us fun facts about the compass' dining floor. she was so attentive with checking on us, refills, making sure that we're doing okay, and was so kind the entire time we visited. she truly had a natural kind glow about her and she was an awesome waitress!

We celebrated our 28th anniversary at The Compass. We so much enjoy this restaurant. The atmosphere, service and food were excellent. We've been here a few times and the experience has always been great! We had the Swordfish and Steakfrites along with a few drinks. Absolutely great place for special occasions or just for the experience. Anyhoo, a must if you haven’t been.
