“Absolutely exceptional serice, fresh food and value for money👏 👌 🙌 I can't believe this was the 1st time we have tried this Indian.. we are local and only just come across it after a recommendation! Garlic Chilli Lamb 10/10 Lemon Chilli Chicken 10/10 .. my new choice of dish ! “The service was top notch, very friendly and professional. The decor was great and the whole place, including the toilets, was spotless. The food we had was delicious and plentiful. There is one tiny criticism, the chicken tikka in both our dishes was a little bland and not as well cooked as other restaurants but all in all we really enjoyed our meals and if we’re ever in the area again we would eat there again.”

“The. Best. Curry house. In York. The chefs here are obviously passionate and put a lot of care into their dishes, and they are MASTERS of flavour. Whether going traditional or trying something new, you will not be disappointed. The lamb here is ALWAYS melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the breads are fresh and fragrant. The staff here are very friendly. It is quite a small establishment so I'd recommend booking in advance if wanting to eat in. We usually go for collecting a takeaway. And they can get quite busy (and rightly so!) therefore it can take a little bit longer for your food to come out. But great food is always worth waiting for 👍 Thank you to all the staff at Sylhety Lounge! You make curry-nights a delight!”
