Customer Review Summary

Friendly, attentive staff come up most, with several diners describing helpful suggestions on what to order and orders that arrived correct and quickly. The food is praised as tasty and fresh, including prawn patia, sagwala, butter chapati, naans made there and then, and poppadoms with pickles. One diner calls the mint sauce the best on the planet, another says the curry was not greasy at all, and the Sunday deal is described as outstanding value. A family notes the kids loved it. The main complaint comes from one party who, after booking a table, waited a long stretch for mains while three other tables also waited. They were told the kitchen was swamped with takeaway orders and two new sous chefs. Some money was taken off the bill, but their onion bhajis were burnt and greasy. Another diner found the food lacked depth of flavour despite excellent service. One guest recalls a staff member driving them to their lodge in the next village when no taxis were available.

“After seeing the reviews we thought this would be a safe bet, we tried it few months back and there was delays with getting seated and food. So we'd give them the benefit of the doubt a few months later booked a table for 7:30 got seated 15mins later no major issue.. Got drinks and poppadoms quite promptly but then our main meals didn't arrive till 1.5hrs later another 3 tables also had a wait. The excuse was given that they where extremely busy with takeaway orders and 2 new sue chiefs. They did knock some money off at the end but if there was issues in the kitchen they should have let us know or not over book themselves. The food was ok the onion bhajis where a bit brunt and greasy. I don't think we'll be going back”

“Absolutely love it here, can't fault it. The curries are always fresh and tasty, great selection on the menu, tasty starters, best mint sauce on the planet! I've been coming here for years, and have tried plenty of other indian restaurants around the area, but this one comes above all the rest. Brilliant service, friendly staff who always check that everything is to your liking. They make great recommendations if you're not sure what to have. They have a good quality choice of drinks. And the Sunday deal is outstanding value!! Perfect!”
