  “We came here on Thursday 9th July for an evening meal. We chose this place after reading the good reviews. We were not disappointed. The food was absolutely delicious and was served piping hot. It was the best curry I have had in years. The young ladies that served us were very sweet and polite too. I would highly recommend this place and I will definitely book again next time we visit York ❤️”

  “Really nice restaurant and well situated. Visited mid week and no reservation required. Staff all helpful and had the balance of checking all was ok / leaving us to enjoy our meal was spot on. The food was really nice but massala a little to thick tasting for my preference but still really enjoyed it and would visit again. The malbec we had was also really nice. Very good value for a meal out that didn't skimp on quality. Second visit tonight and the staff, food, restaurant did not disappoint - what a place. Great food and for the quality good value too.”

  “Recently I have visited York and chose Mumbai Lounge for lunch. The biriyani is really different and amazing. The curry given along is very tasty and can be eaten with rice. Also the service was great and and the lady who served - dont remember the name deserves appreciation.”

  “This restaurant is all you can dream of! Delicious food, fast and kind service, I felt like I was at a high-end restaurant | Fine dining! We were 5 (3 adults 2 kids) and ordered 1 butter chicken 1 korma, and a vegetarian type of tomato based curry if I am not mistaken, those 3 dishes were absolutely amazing, and so full filling (we did add 3 sides of rice and 2 garlic naans) and couldn’t finish it all; nice touch of them is giving you an amazing tupper to take home 🏠 Mint chocolate gift is 10 out of 10 And again the staff is super 🤩”

  “Just had a weekend in York and on Saturday night a group of us (4) dropped in without a booking. The service from the staff was amazing. We read a few reviews before going in and as 99% of them were 5 stars we thought we would give it a go. We all ordered different dishes and they were all unique in taste as they should be. I can highly recommend the tikka mixed grill and the keema rice. The food was all hot in temperature and bursting with flavour. The cleanliness of the restaurant was 5 stars At the end of our meal I shook the owners hand and thanked him (Ali) and complimented him on such a great business he’s running. I can highly recommend this fabulous restaurant and will definitely return when we stay over at York again.”

  “We were a bit nervous to visit here after reading a few of the reviews on here but we are so pleased we did. The staff were friendly, welcoming and attentive without being over the top and lingering. The food was delicious, very generous portions with lots of meat. My husband had the Mixed Grill and he got so much meat that was cooked to perfection, so tender. The food was tasty, flavoursome and not too greasy/oily. We definitely ordered more than we needed due to portion sizes and had to regretfully leave some. We would definitely go back here if we visit the area again and will be recommending it to visitors.”

  “⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! As vegetarians, it’s often hard for us to find truly authentic Indian food, but this place exceeded our expectations. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful. The vegetable samosas are a must-try — perfectly crispy and delicious. The dal tadka was also outstanding and full of authentic flavor. On top of the great food, the staff were extremely friendly and attentive, providing excellent service throughout our visit. We’re so happy to have found such a great spot and will definitely be coming back. Highly recommended! If you'd like, I can also make it shorter, more casual, or perfect for Google reviews.”

  “Loved everything. The ambiance is lovely. A gorgeous authentic Indian mural. The portions were very generous. My partner and I couldn't finish them and the price was much lower than either of us anticipated. Thank you.”

  “It's an authentic Indian restaurant run by Indian chefs, not the general Bangladeshi chefs, tried the biryani, naans and mixed grills, had asked it be more spicier, but was still mild as the the taste is more catered to the English palate, Must visit if you want to try the real Indian cuisine, ambience good and staff friendly, some of the dishes are pricey but it's worth it”
