Wing Lee is a Chinese takeaway on Derwent Cl in Worcester, where customers phone in an order and collect it themselves. Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often praise the freshness and quality of the food, with several describing it as always hot and delivered quickly. One regular who orders large amounts for hospital staff calls the service fast, and another says the lean meat in the curry suits children because it is not too hot or spicy. A long-time Worcester resident compares the portions and ingredients to the better takeaways of decades ago, saying they felt satisfied rather than cheated. Staff are repeatedly called friendly, helpful and polite. The main drawback is a pair of serious complaints. One diner reports a strong ammonia smell and taste in the beef with mushrooms and water chestnuts, the first bad experience in 15 years, and the phone staff apologised. Another describes dry rice, stale-tasting ribs and food that seemed reheated, with no compensation offered. One reviewer finds the food merely average, and another notes there is no delivery. Several mention quick collection after phoning ahead.

“Lived in Worcester all my life but only just discovered this place recently. I've had three takeaways from this place in the last few weeks , and I have to say it's been quality. Being a child of the 80's i remember when chinese takeaways were of good quality and didn't make you feel cheated or sick afterwards. Over the years they have declined in portion size, quality ingredients and freshness... not only in Worcester but country wide. This is a real throwback to the days when you got what you paid for and felt satisfied without feeling you wasted your money and felt rotten after. Well done for not compromising on quality and freshness, I highly recommend.”
