Customer Review Summary

Diners most often single out the Pad Thai as fresh, flavorful, and served quickly, with several also praising the peach iced tea and fresh peppermint tea. The veggie and vegan options earn consistent mention, and many describe the service as friendly and attentive. Close behind, the relaxed atmosphere and spacious layout are noted as comfortable, especially on warmer days. A recurring complaint centers on hygiene and food quality: one reviewer reports unclean cutlery and staff handling plates while using mobile phones without visible handwashing, another describes mouldy salad leaves served with a Katsu Curry, and a third cites long waits with staff ignoring the table. Several also highlight generous portions and strong drinks. One diner notes the prawn crackers differ from the usual style.

We were looked after by a lovely member of staff called David. He was so friendly and really made us feel welcome and answered any questions we had about the food. Our food was delicious and presented beautifully. The fresh peppermint tea was also really lovely. Thank you, we will be visiting again :)

Everything was lovely, the food and the service. I was greeted by Tee who made me feel welcome. Then David came over to make sure all was well - he was kind, genuine and had a beautiful smile! Asset to company, great Wagamamas! Thank you!

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Wagamama today easily the worst visit I’ve ever had at this branch. The food quality was unacceptable. It was poorly prepared, tasted off, and genuinely left me feeling sick. This is a serious drop from the standards. What is particularly concerning is the hygiene and staff behaviour on the floor. The staff serving and bringing plates to tables were using their mobile phones between handling dishes, with no visible handwashing (same female waitress everytime). Even if they are not preparing the food, they are still handling plates that go directly to customers this is not acceptable and raises real hygiene concerns. To make matters worse, the cutlery provided was unclean, which completely undermined any confidence in the overall cleanliness of the restaurant. The service itself was equally poor staff appeared disengaged, unprofessional, and lacking basic customer care. This experience was not just disappointing, it was concerning. Standards at this branch have clearly declined, and I would strongly urge management to address hygiene, food quality, and staff conduct as a matter of urgency. I will not be returning as this venue has been going downhill for a while and today was the last day I waste my money on rubbish food and service.

Wagas at Bentley Bridge- disappointing to say the least! Ordered a Katsu Curry which arrived, rice and chicken was OK however the salad leaves had gone off around the edges, completely dried and brown, mouldy leaves and should never have been served. One waiter said it was the beetroot, another whilst admitting that they were not edible said it was due to the salad dressing which was a joke - the leaves weren't dressed. Whilst the meal was deducted from the bill, question is, why would you put rotten food on a plate?

How this listing is sourced

Where the data comes from
Name, address, hours, contact details, amenities, ratings and review counts come from the business's publicly available profile data — not from the owner and not from paid submissions.
How it stays current
Listings are re-checked in batches against their public profile, and anything reported as wrong is corrected at the source rather than patched on the page.
How it is ranked
Placement is never sold. Every business on the page is ordered and compared using the same public signals, so an owner cannot pay to move up.
