Customer Review Summary

Service divides reviewers. Some call the staff pleasant, efficient and outstanding. Others describe a rude woman on the front counter and a manager with no customer service skills. Mixed-up orders come up repeatedly, with one reviewer saying their order is never right and that they feel overcharged, and another recalling a trainee who blamed a customer for a mistake. The same one-star reviewer reports a long wait, mushy rice and a stew chicken that tasted of scotch bonnet. One regular suggests adding online ordering and delivery for people with disabilities or chronic health issues, and a diner who traveled in from Birmingham for the fried chicken calls it a weekend ritual.

“Do not recommend constantly messing up orders, Faye who I believe is the manager has no customer service skills. Food is decent but service is a red flag. Go to authentic jerk house (Willenhall) or Jerk & Juiice (Dudley) must better service!!”

“This establishment continues to be my favourite Caribbean takeaway for the following reasons: Food: Never ceases to disappoint, whether soup, mutton, chicken, rice etc, the food is always cooked to perfection. Value for money: Portion size is good. Excellent value for money Service: I have seen comments regarding staff service, but personally I find the staff to pleasant and efficient. Troy is lovely as are the shop assistants. There was some confusion with a trainee once, who then went on to blame my husband for the mix up, but we have not experienced problems with regular staff Environment: I really like the atmosphere. I am talkative person so I converse with whoever is in the shop Suggestion: An online order and delivery service would be really helpful especially for those with disabilities and chronic health issues”
