  “Absolute fantastic service, I was driving past from work to Wton and felt that Friday feeling for fish and chips parked in the side car park. I was greeted straight away by two young cheerful girls who seemed to be enjoying their shift no waiting around. I was expecting to wait for the fish to be cooked but there were plenty waiting to be taken obviously they are mega busy within 5 minutes I was out of shop on my way home. I got to say this must be the best fish and chips I have had in the last two decades! The fish was huge and the batter was crisp and tasted fresh and the fish held its shape right until the last bite cooked to perfection. The chips were awesome light batter and fluffy in the middle I'm not a fan of battered chips as I always complain of them being heavy and dry but these were melt in the mouth fresh as it can be. I gotta say I really enjoyed this one until the last bite Portion size was just right and the chips were wrapped separately to the fish without me having to ask. I paid £10.50 for large fish and regular chips with food tasty as this that has to be a bargain. I will definitely be back again when needed hopefully they will be just as good and will be recommending to family and freinds. I am normally a critic but this one deserves 5 stars as I understand the hard work that goes into delivering quality service like this there must have been 10 staff behind that counter keep up the good work 👏”

  “Today i visit tasty plaice on sedgley with my family for first time after reading many great reviews,and i’m so glad we chose this place. The food options on the menu were amazing,with so many choices,and overall atmosphere of the shop was very nice… what made our visit extra special staff member name (Sukhi)she served us so politely and kindly,made us feel very welcome.she explained the food options so nicely,told us about the offers like buy one get one free peri peri chicken deals,and treated us in such a lovely and professional way. I truly believe good staff deserve appreciation,and that is why I’m leaving this review so the owner knows they have a wonderful team member.This was My First visit,and i will definitely come again..i would aslo recommend other customers to visit because i had a very good experience.The food,the service,and the overall vibe of the shop were excellent..i would especially rquest the owner to please say agian thank you Sukhi on my behalf she made our visit memorable”

  “So tasty plaice are trialling chicken bowls & it’s safe to say they’re delicious! The sauces are a perfect blend and the chicken is cooked to perfection! Can’t wait to see what combos they come up with I really enjoyed it as I always do. Never disappointed when we come here for food💙 best chippy around”

  “Absolutely brilliant meal at Tasty Plaice tonight – as always, they never disappoint! When we visited on Friday 22nd May they offered us to try their new chicken bites and ordered a portion straight away, and wow… they were honestly some of the best we’ve ever had! Golden, crispy, perfectly seasoned and so juicy inside – we could’ve easily ordered another portion they were that good. The usual southern fried chicken and chips were spot on too which is my regular order but today we ordered their 1st class scallops – fresh, fluffy crispy batter, perfectly cooked and lovely chunky chips. Service is always friendly, fast and everything is piping hot when we got it home. If you haven’t tried the new chicken bites yet, you really need to – 10/10, highly recommended! Sedgley is lucky to have such a top quality chippy. We’ll definitely be back very soon. Rowan and Rachel”

  “I had an outstanding experience and felt it was important to share this. Food was delicious, fresh and proper cooked and there were multiple staff members working, but the girl at the first serving position (kamal) was absolutely exceptional. She was easily working at the level of 2–3 people on her own. Her speed, organisation, and control of the queue were incredible, she kept everything moving smoothly even during a very busy time. What made it even more impressive was her attitude. She didn’t just serve fast, she served with professionalism and care. Honestly, she made the entire experience. Without her, the service would not have been the same. Staff like her are rare and are a huge asset to any business. I truly hope she gets the recognition she deserves. Highly recommend, definitely will come back”

  “Not a bad local fish and chip shop. Very busy on a Friday night which is expected. Large fish and chips £9 which today is good value. Fish was slightly over cooked but chips were very nice and lightly battered. Mushy peas were a little boring. Curry sauce was very nice and thick. Southern fried chicken lacked flavour and coating however very generous portion size. Overall good experience. Service was excellent. 4.3 / 5 Would go back.”

  “We ordered chips and Pizza, The chicken was nice, the chips and Pizza was soaked in grease. we didn't eat it. I'm not sure if it was because it was 9.30 at night. I have had nice food from here in the past. We thought we'd give them a try again.”
