Customer Review Summary
Cakes are the most frequent draw, with reviewers praising the banana and chocolate cake, a milkyway chocolate brownie and the vegan cakes, alongside a creative variety of drinks. Close behind are the breakfasts and lunches, including a veg and mozzarella panini with side salad and crisps and vegetarian sausage baps. Coffee gets good marks, with an excellent decaf, and one reviewer singles out a lovely selection of teas. Several describe friendly, welcoming staff, and a number of travellers who stopped while driving found the food tasty with good portions. Free Wi-Fi and plenty of plugs come up for people working there. The main criticism comes from one customer who ordered breakfast four times: the sausages tasted raw on two visits, the bacon was rock hard, and a request to cook the sausages properly brought more hard sausage and a small portion of beans, with an unhappy look from the server. That reviewer says staff stood chatting when the manager was away. One reviewer recalls soft classical instrumental love songs playing, like waiting for a wedding to begin.

“Had breakfast from here 4 times,,..first time it was nice….not wow but nice… second time the sausages was not really done properly…it was raw taste… third time the sausages were not done properly and bacon was hard as rock…. now the fourth time i requested them to if they can do the sausages properly cuz last time it was not cooked well. and what i received…hard sausage like rock hard bacon and little portion of beens…looks like a revenge…cuz the girls face was not happy when i asked my request about the sausage. i don’t want to fight about food. complete lose of money for this tiny breakfast. the manager is a nice lady but when she is not here the staffs doesn’t care. no customer service. they just standing and talking about their life….wow”

“We frequently visit Cup of Joy at Hamiltons gym in Tettenhall. We love everything about it. The staff are all so friendly and welcoming, Ruth the owner is a ray of sunshine. Very high standard of cleanliness, tables are cleared as soon as vacated. Food quality is excellent and great value gym members have the bonus of a 10% discount on all food and drinks. Coffee is also top quality with an excellent decaf available. Free WiFi and plenty of plugs. I totally recommend Cup of Joy as a great place to eat drink and socialise, you will be delighted.”
