Customer Review Summary
Diners most often return to Villa Positano for the pasta, described as fresh and homemade, with three pasta dishes at one table all praised. Close behind are the chicken liver starter, the goats cheese salad, pollo marengo and a vanilla sponge dessert with cherry compote. Reviewers repeatedly describe the atmosphere as warm and welcoming, and the staff as friendly and quick even when the room is busy. The wine list draws comment as extensive, though one reviewer calls it a little expensive, and another suggests skipping the beer in favour of wine. A few note that part of the dining room is up a set of stairs, and one recommends reserving because it was very busy. One food review calls the meal nice but could have been tastier. One reviewer, who attended with his wife in a hijab, reports being told the restaurant could take no more guests, then seeing other couples seated, and says they felt singled out. In a happier moment, a waitress replaced a pasta dish with a fresh one to take home after a leftovers mix up.

“Walking into this restaurant felt like coming home. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and relaxed, and the staff made us feel like family from the moment we arrived. The pasta was absolutely incredible—fresh, full of flavor, and clearly made with care. Every bite tasted authentic and comforting, like a true homemade Italian meal. It’s the kind of place that reminds you why simple, quality ingredients make all the difference. If you’re looking for genuine Italian food and a cozy, home-like experience, I can’t recommend this place enough. We’ll definitely be back!”

“My wife and I arrived at the restaurant and were greeted by an older gentleman at the door. My wife wears a hijab. Before we even had a chance to properly ask for a table, he told us, "We're done, we can't take any more." As we walked away, I waited outside and watched two British couples who had been reading the menu outside approach the entrance. They had no reservations, yet they were immediately offered tables. I went back and questioned why we had been turned away while they were seated. I told him I would be leaving a very negative review, and his response was simply, "It's OK." I can't say for certain why we were refused, but the sequence of events made us feel singled out and unwelcome. Whether it was discrimination or not, that's exactly how the experience felt to us. We left feeling humiliated and would never return. I hope the management reviews how guests are treated because no one should leave a restaurant feeling this way.”

“Great food, warm atmosphere and very welcoming staff. Our waitress really went above and beyond. They even made us a whole new pasta dish to take home when there was a mix up with our leftovers. Highly recommend this wonderful restaurant.”

“Came in for a quick meal. Service was very good. The food was nice but could have been tastier. Worth a visit though. Would score it 3.5 if we were allowed to score half points.”
