Quick info
About Luigi's
Luigi's is a family-run Italian restaurant in Ambleside, at Fellwalkers Cafe. The menu centres on rustic Italian dishes, and wine is served alongside them. A fireplace is part of the setting. Dogs are welcome, which means guests can bring their dog along to a meal instead of leaving it at home. Reservations are required, so every table is booked in advance of the visit. The restaurant is run by a family, and the Italian cooking and the wine come from that same household business.

“Great service and hospitality but food wasn’t great. Although the portions were big, dishes lacked flavour and was disappointing.”

“Amazing service and food. I was a solo diner and they seated me quickly and also told me there was no rush to order and eat. Great suggestions on the wine and menu. I truly enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Perfection.”

“Second time here in two years and both times were excellent. It was me and my two young boys ages 10 & 8 on our annual trip to The Lakes. We enjoyed all three courses both times and the service was great both times too. Would highly recommend.”

“We visited here yesterday, I was impressed by the inside, it looked brand new, it was really modern, clean and tidy. The staff were attentive and friendly. Dogs are welcome, it seemed that families with dogs were taken to the dining area down the stairs. My pasta dish was puttanesca and it was the best I've had, it was really delicious, with olives and capers. My husband had the sirlion steak which he said was lovely too. Theres a happy hour between 5.30pm and 7pm everyday, any starter and main pasta for £21.95 or 3 courses (any starter, pasta main, and dessert) £25.95 when a drink is purchased from the drinks menu. I would definitely recommend a visit here.”
