About Dreams
Dreams is a breakfast and brunch cafe in Wigston, at 289B Leicester Rd. The decor is floral and eclectic, with small decorative details throughout, and the interior design is coordinated down to the cutlery. The owners, a couple, run the cafe and serve the tables themselves. The food is halal. Ginger tea is on the drinks menu, and the coffee comes from a fully automated machine rather than a barista.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the decor, describing eclectic, floral, coordinated touches down to the cutlery, and the breakfast and brunch food served alongside it. Several call the food delicious or first-rate, and the halal menu is noted by a few. One diner praised the ginger tea, and another found the latte alright. Service draws mostly warm comments, with reviewers describing a friendly welcome and a table set up for a family birthday. The caveats are specific. One reviewer found the sausage and bacon strangely processed in texture and the toast almost fried, and another found the food a bit too oily. A third called the owner's service cold, with one-word replies and no smiles in a quiet café. Another said the coffee comes from a fully automated machine rather than a barista and found it undrinkable. One reviewer who was unaware the food was halal asked that this be mentioned before ordering. A few add that the place needed dusting, while others close on the small decorations that made the visit feel special.

“Lovely ambience! Little details make it feel very special and the food is first-rate. Friendly atmosphere. Lovely breakfast/brunch stop - can’t wait for my next visit!”

“The food was good and the décor was lovely, creating a nice atmosphere. Unfortunately, the customer service didn’t match the setting. Although the owner brought everything we asked for promptly, the interaction felt quite cold and unwelcoming. There was very little engagement, conversations were limited to short, one-word responses, and there were no smiles, despite the café being quiet at the time. Friendly service can make such a big difference to the overall dining experience, so this was disappointing.”

“I’m sure the food is delicious, and the service was friendly, but don’t go here for the coffee. It comes out of a fully automated machine and is not barista-made. If you’re a discerning coffee drinker you will find it undrinkable.”
