About Silver Street Cafe
On Silver St in Leicester, Silver Street Cafe is a cafe where orders are placed at the counter before customers sit down for table service. The King Richard breakfast is a regular on the menu alongside a full English, with vegetarian and vegan breakfast options also available. The entrance is step-free, making it workable for visitors with mobility needs, and high chairs are on hand for families with young children. Outdoor seating gives an option for eating outside. Customer Review Summary
The full English breakfast is what reviewers return for, and several name the King Richard and the medium as the portion sizes they ordered, with diners calling the plates enormous and a real challenge to finish. One describes thick bacon, tasty sausages and fried eggs cooked to perfection. Close behind are the cheeseburger and chips, called the best burger in ages by one reviewer, and a pannie with chips. Others mention the coffee, cakes, roast dinners and Christmas dinners. Reviewers repeatedly call the food good value and say it arrives quickly and hot, and the staff come across as friendly and chatty. One reviewer notes vegetarian and vegan options. The complaints are specific. A wheelchair user says they can only get in with friends or family because there is no ramp at the door, and a staff member answered "no we don't" with a shrug. Another reviewer finds the front windows always covered in condensation, which feels claustrophobic and looks unappealing from outside. Fried mushrooms were also called a little greasy, though the same reviewer found the rest of the fry up excellent.

“The staff here are always so lovely and kind. You might look at the prices and assume it's high, but the portions are always hefty so you need not worry. Very chill and relaxed atmosphere, absolutely would recommend.”

“A lovely cafe that does an awesome all day breakfast but as a wheelchair user I can only get in when I go with friends or family as they don't have a ramp for the door to get in. I asked a staff member if they have a ramp and got "no we don't" with a shrug of the shoulder. It's a shame it's not more accessible because then I'd visit more.”

“Used to come here quite a lot. Moved out of Leicester. But when we do come we always pop in this cafe. Came last week and then today. Wife had a pannie with chips I had a double cheeseburger with chips. Best burger I had for ages. Beats mc Donald's. Wife enjoyed hers. Great service, tasty food and good prices. Always fresh and hot. Staff very professional. Lovely place to come if in leicester or visiting. Keep the service going. Thanks to all who works at the cafe.”
