About Coffee Corner
Coffee Corner is a coffee shop at 33-53 Library St in Wigan, a short walk from Market Place in the town centre, with its entrance on the corner. The drinks list leads with flavoured lattes, including a cinnamon bun latte, a wet coconut latte and a Caribbean Rum and Coconut Iced Latte. Espressos, mochas, iced coffees and matchas round out the coffee menu, and a range of plant-based milks is on hand for those who want them. Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the coffee, with the cinnamon bun latte, a Caribbean rum and coconut iced latte, a wet coconut latte and a caramel macchiato all named, and one reviewer rating it much better than Starbucks and Costa. Close behind is the hot chocolate, which one reviewer says won over a picky sister and then her son. Reviewers repeatedly describe the atmosphere as cosy, quiet and relaxing, and the staff as friendly and welcoming. Several mention plant based milks, vegan options and brownies, while the toasted cheese and sandwiches earn a few kind words. One reviewer notes it is not the cheapest. The one negative visit describes a barista on her phone throughout, even while serving, with the coffee and hot sandwiches arriving luke warm, though that reviewer still calls the shop lovely. A group that hired the space for a baby shower says they were able to move tables and chairs to decorate.

“Coffee Corner is a cosy coffee shop just out from central Wigan. ☕ Seating is comfy, I visited about 9am on a Friday and there was plenty of seating available, music was at a comfortable volume (bloody good playlist too btw) and it was pleasantly cool in the shop despite being toasty outside! There's loads of coffee options - espressos, mochas, iced coffees, matchas, etc, also worth noting they have specials, including a bueno hot chocolate, frappes, or milkshakes. Unfortunately I'm only passing through, but if I ever travel through Wigan again you can expect me back for another iced latte :)”

“Not sure why it says temporarily closed. It is open. I'm drinking a coffee right now. The entrance is on the corner.”

“Great coffee, friendly staff and a nice chilled atmosphere. Maybe not the cheapest but much better coffee that Starbucks and Costa. Great caramel macchiato.”

“First and last time we will visit. Barrister on her phone chatting the whole time we were in, even while serving us, could hear everything as she wasn't quietly talking either. Both our Coffee and 'hot sandwiches' were luke warm. Shame as the actual coffee shop is lovely.”

“Best coffee in Wigan town centre by far, staff are lovely. Not tried the food but the sandwiches look really nice, not too busy so nice to sit and relax!”
