“Visited for my son’s birthday on Saturday afternoon at around 3pm. We chose this venue because we believed it was family friendly and wanted a simple birthday meal together. Unfortunately, during our visit, complaints were made about the noise from our group, and staff informed us that we were being too loud. While I understand that pubs need to consider all customers, this was a children’s birthday celebration in the middle of the afternoon, not late in the evening. The experience left us feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. We were so concerned about receiving further complaints that we didn’t even feel able to properly sing Happy Birthday to my son. The food and service were otherwise okay, but families considering a birthday gathering may want to check whether this is the right venue for a children’s celebration. It was disappointing that what should have been a happy occasion ended with us feeling like we had to keep the children quiet throughout the visit.”

“Very nice and clean pub. Car park on the side but you need to pay. You will be tempted to park outside the pub on the main road; however, it's a haven for traffic wardens. Three different ones passed during my 1-hour breakfast stop.”

“Absolutely without doubt the best Spoons we have visited. Food was lovely. Staff were friendly. Atmosphere was relaxed.Outside seating area including the converted concrete pods were genius. On site parking was a Godsend. Prices for drinks, menu selection & the overall fixtures & fittings were first class. Of the 52 Spoons we have visited so far "The quarter Jack" is the best by a mile. Even the loos are pleasant. Well done. Tim give this branch the credit it deserves!!!!!”
