The team also caters for large parties, either in-house or outdoors, with a menu customised to the occasion.

Customer Review Summary
Tawa platters draw the most mentions. One large group says the food came out quickly and hot, while another reviewer found the lamb curry soft and well flavoured but the chicken tikka dry, the lamb chops boiled before grilling, and the wings short on flavour. Close behind are the Iftar buffet, described as fresh with good variety, the desi breakfast, and a chicken dish in a rich nut-based sauce served with boiled egg. Welcoming, attentive staff come up repeatedly, though one reviewer found service slow in a near-empty dining room and another says the women working were rushed and shouted at. Cleanliness is the recurring complaint: a sticky pickle pot returned after being merely stirred, rusted salt and pepper pots, uncleaned tables, seats with food bits, and toilets whose cleaning rota stopped in March. One reviewer reports a mouldy bottle top on tap water, and another reports finding hair in a biryani. A delivery order reportedly arrived late and cold. One reviewer who noted chipped, stained tea mugs returned for a daughter's birthday and found nothing to complain about.

“We visited today 11/08/2026 Now you get free 2 hour parking here make sure you put your vehicle registration on the tablet It’s a big open plan restaurant with spacious surrounding. The restaurant was dirty, tables not cleaned from previous dinners and was left for ages even after our food arriving not sure what staff were doing. They were busy just talking. The toilets were disgusting and not cleaned, the cleaning rota on the door was going back to March and is August. Clearly. Nothing being done. The food you ask Went for a tawa £58 as we upgraded to boneless lamb curry. You get 2 meat and 2 chicken sheekh kebab, wings and 4 lamb chops, and chicken tikka fish Pokora lamb curry 2 tandoori roti and 2 naan and bottle drink 1.5litre Food came out pretty quick The lamb curry was nice and meat was soft I would say medium in spice heat not oily and good flavours. The seekh kebabs were ok not the best I’ve had Goes down hill from here, the fish Pokora had a good batter but fish pieces were tiny, the chicken tikka was dry and hard, lamb chops were boiled first then put on grill, although soft didn’t have the flavour of meat or marinate as meat is boiled lacked flavour The wings hardly had any flavour. I wouldn’t recommend unfortunately”

“Very disappointing experience. I ordered food from Royal Punjab through Uber Eats yesterday, and the food arrived 1 hour and 20 minutes late and completely cold. I tried calling the restaurant around 15 times before someone finally answered. I was told that the driver was 15 minutes away. After waiting another 15 minutes, I called again and was then told that the driver was 5 minutes away. This was extremely frustrating, especially after already waiting so long. When the food finally arrived completely cold, I asked the delivery driver to take it back, but he said he couldn’t because the delivery was being handled by the restaurant’s own staff, not Uber Eats. I also couldn’t track the delivery through Uber Eats, which made the situation even more frustrating. The whole experience was very poorly handled, from the extremely late delivery and lack of tracking to the misleading updates over the phone. Food arriving 1 hour and 20 minutes late and completely cold is simply not acceptable. Very disappointed with the service and unfortunately I would not recommend ordering from Royal Punjab based on this experience.”

“Food was average and although staff were friendly, the service was slow considering we were only one of four tables in the restaurant on a Sunday lunchtime. Seats could do with a deep clean and the menus are tatty. 10% off with a blue light discount card though and free parking for two hours providing you input your car reg on the tablet by the entrance.”
