About The Victoria Coffee Lounge
The Victoria Coffee Lounge is a cafe in Walsall, at 3-5 The Arcade, where afternoon tea sits on the menu alongside coffee, cakes and milkshakes. Sandwiches and toasties arrive with a side salad and coleslaw, and the fillings include chicken tikka and cheese and onion. The kitchen also makes jacket potatoes for those who want something hot. Tea comes as a pot of Yorkshire Tea, so the drinks list covers both coffee and tea drinkers. Banana split ice cream rounds out the sweeter end of the menu, giving the cafe a dessert option beyond the cakes.

Customer Review Summary
Sandwiches and toasties served with a side salad and coleslaw are the most common draw, with diners describing the chicken tikka and cheese and onion fillings as fresh and well presented. The banana split ice cream comes close behind, singled out as a personal favourite and as the dish that made one child's face light up. Reviewers also mention jacket potatoes, a pot of Yorkshire Tea, cake, milkshakes and a large choice of ice cream. Staff are repeatedly called friendly and kind, and several describe the prices as reasonable or good. One reviewer was disappointed, though. The cooked breakfast of bacon, sausage and egg tasted bland and as if microwaved, mushrooms were not available, eggs were only offered scrambled, and an iced coffee the cafe had not made before was offered as a try. That meal came to a price the reviewer called a joke. Another reviewer says they are looking forward to trying the afternoon tea, while one mother said the atmosphere felt like a proper Saturday afternoon.

“So came in and wanted to order a bacon sausage egg and mushroom but from the get go no mushroom and the egg is only scrambled, should have been an instant red flag, anyway so ended up order bacon sausage and egg, partner had scrambled egg on toast and little one had a sausage butty, a iced coffee but they hadn’t done before but “would give it a go” (fyi just say no, the customer isn’t always right) anyway all that come to almost £18 which is an absolute joke, sausage bland, bacon bland, egg bland, almost like all been microwaved, but to top it off if I’d just walked an extra 10 feet out the door I’d of seen a butty van where everything fresh, photo of inside of sausage for reference”
