Customer Review Summary
Coffee is the main draw for most reviewers, who call it great and brewed with love, and pair it with a slice from the large cake and pastry selection. Close behind are the sandwiches made to order, toasties, fresh salads, cheeses and a pot of plump olives. Reviewers also single out a big gluten free section, organic bread and butter, and vegan products. Staff are described as friendly and chatty, and the shop is dog friendly, with one reviewer noting staff often give scraps for their dog and another mentioning dog treats. A few seats outside suit dry days. On the downside, one reviewer says coffee quality varies across the team, with the milk steaming for flat whites needing more consistency. Another finds it a little dearer than other places but says the quality and range justify it, and queues appear at busy times. Several visitors drop in after walks, runs or bike rides for a coffee and cake, and one comes back every visit for a different cake.

“I come here every time I visit family in the area. A great spot with a fantastic stock of products and wonderful service. The main reason I come is for the coffee! Which is actually the reason for not giving 5 stars… most of the time it’s great, I just feel there could be some coffee training shared across the team as there’s a noticeable difference in capability. The coffee itself is great. It’s the milk steaming that needs some work to get the consistency up! Nothing a “how to steam milk for a flat white” YouTube video challenge wouldn’t sort out.”
