About Bami Viet
Bami Viet is a Vietnamese restaurant at 18 York St in Twickenham, serving street food alongside bubble tea. The dining room is very small with limited seats, so it is not set up for groups. The menu is short and focused. It includes beef shin pho, salt and pepper squid that can also be ordered as prawns, and spring rolls filled with vermicelli rice. Bubble tea sits next to the food as part of the same offer, so a drink and a meal come from one counter. When the room fills up, a wait for a table is usual.

Customer Review Summary
Pho is the draw at this small Twickenham Vietnamese, with the beef shin pho named most often. One reviewer describes so much beef in the bowl that there might as well have been a whole cow in it. The chicken pho also earns praise, and one reviewer calls it among the best they have had in London. Close behind are the spring rolls, with vermicelli rice inside, and the salt and pepper squid or prawns. Others single out the spicy chicken wings, the beef or pork BBQ noodles, and a peach iced tea or mango matcha drink. Reviewers repeatedly describe the portions as generous and big, and several call the value very good. Staff are consistently called friendly, attentive and quick without ever feeling rushed. The one recurring caveat is size. The place is tiny with very limited seats, one reviewer says it is not for a group, and another is happy to wait for a table when it is busy. One regular who usually orders takeout singles out the curries after eating in.

“Had been wanting to try this place for a while, so finally had a chance to try it with my friend for lunch, and must say I wasn't disappointed. The portion sizes were great, I got the beef shin pho and I had so much beef that there might as well have been a whole cow in it. We also got peach iced teas and the salt and pepper squid, which really hit the spot. The only downside is that the restaurant is quite small, but it adds to the quiet and intimate vibe. Staff was really friendly too, definitely would come here again.”

“Small and cozy setting, quiet but welcoming atmosphere. Food is amazing and the beef or pork BBQ noodles are a must try - personally I prefer beef. Special drinks just released and I got the mango matcha drink- it was very good. You ca find parking in the Aragon car park since it is free after 6 pm I think and about 5 mins walk to Bami Viet. Would definitely recommend and one of my favourite restaurants.”

“One of the best chicken Pho’s I’ve had in London, and great hospitality. A great spot tucked away in the heart of Twickenham, highly recommend.”

“Absolutely delicious! I’m a frequent flyer at this unsuspecting gem in Twickenham, and it never disappoints. I usually rotate between the spring/summer rolls and the salt‑and‑pepper squid or prawns, followed by the beef shin pho, all consistently excellent. The service is fantastic: friendly, attentive, and quick, without ever feeling rushed. It’s always great to see the place busy, and I’m more than happy to wait for a table when it is. A real favourite that deserves a stop by.”
