About Viet Soho
Viet Soho is a Vietnamese restaurant at 34 Greek St in London, run by the Le family as a small, family-run business since 2007. The kitchen is open, and the menu is a concise run of Vietnamese classics. Bún Bò Huế is made with its own pot of broth, and Mum's Hú Tiếu and the spring rolls sit alongside it. Beer and wine are on the menu, and diners who prefer to choose their own bottle can bring wine for a corkage fee. The restaurant is open daily.

Customer Review Summary
Pho broth is what reviewers raise most, described as flavourful, clear and light, with tender beef and pork and a big jumbo portion. Close behind is the Bún Bò Huế, which one reviewer says is made from its own pot of broth rather than reworked phở stock, rich and spicy. Fried squid and squid rings, crispy spring rolls, a fresh and tangy gỏi salad, a beef salad, turmeric chicken over rice with an extra egg, and chicken curry also earn praise. One diner called a noodle soup with prawns nostalgic, like a home cooked meal. Service is described as friendly and kind, and one reviewer calls the corkage good for such a central spot. The recurring complaints concern value and size. One reviewer found the rice dish smaller than expected and not filling for what they paid, wishing they had ordered the noodle soup, and another found the pho slightly pricey but still very good for the location. Two reviewers mention a lady in the kitchen still cutting the tails off the bean sprouts.

“Best udon noodles I have ever eaten!! Perfectly savory, lots of toppings, and it just doesnt get bland no matter how much you eat. Portions are perfect, just enough to feel full but not too full. Great prices considering the taste and size. Staff was really kind. Will definitely come back!!”

“Let me tell you what a perfect meal would be in crisp spring weather: a plate of turmeric chicken over rice, served with an extra egg on top. The food here is comforting and delicious. The pho was tasty and full of good ingredients. There is nothing more to say!”

“Great spot for pho with friendly service! The bun, squid and spring rolls are recommended. The corkage is also good considering how central the location is.”

“No one understands how good this meal was to me. I was expecting just usual broths that I’ve tasted before, but this meal right there just felt and tasted nostalgic, it felt like a home cooked meal in the best way possible. It was very flavourful and rich but without a heavy aftertaste and the toppings, especially the prawns tasted fresh and tender. I’m not sure what they put in their “Mum’s Hú Tiẽu” but that was one of the best meals i’ve had in the uk. I will definitely come back.”
