About The Top Brink Inn
The Top Brink Inn is a large country pub on Brink Top in Todmorden, with a sizable garden and views over the surrounding countryside from both inside and out. The interior is split into three different areas around a large central bar, and a conservatory gives guests another place to sit. Timothy Taylor's Landlord is on cask alongside guest ales. On the food side, toad in the hole and mixed grill are recurring dishes. The pub sits on walking routes, and Stoodley Pike is one walk worth knowing about for anyone heading out on foot. Tables can be reserved through the website.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the well-kept Timothy Taylor's Landlord, poured alongside guest ales and Vocation cask beer, with one lager drinker converted to a pint. Close behind is the traditional food, where the toad in the hole and the mixed grill, described as huge and delicious, come up repeatedly, and one reviewer suggests the lamb kebabs. Diners describe friendly staff, a relaxed and cosy feel across several areas, a large conservatory, outside seating and views of the surrounding countryside, with several mentioning walks nearby. The main criticism is slow food: one party seated promptly with a reservation waited nearly an hour for their meal while many tables sat empty, and called the food on par with most pubs. Another reviewer found a 20oz steak ordered medium/well still red inside and a syrup sponge short of syrup, though the prawn cocktail starter was delicious. That same reviewer has returned for many years and says the website booking was easy.

“Great pub. We just had drinks, no food or lodging. The Timothy Taylor's Landlord was so well kept even my partner, a lager drinker, had a pint. Other real ales offered too”

“Sunday Bank Holiday dinner with the family after a wet walk up to Stoodey Pike. Very friendly, great service and the best traditional food we've had in a pub for ages. Excellent cask beer from Timothy Taylor's and Vocation.”

“An absolute gem of a pub. A very well kept cellar - always Timothy Taylors Landlord plus guest ales. Genuinely welcoming and friendly staff. The food is excellent; a wide range of choices and very reasonable. This is a big pub but manages to feel cosy and welcoming with 3 different areas , all with old world charm with large bar centrally plus a beautiful large conservatory and plenty of outside seating. The surrounding countryside is beautiful. Plenty of parking. If you haven't been before, you really are missing out. Very Highly Recommended !!!”

“We were seated straight away with a reservation, and immediately ordered drinks which came within 10 minutes. However, our food took nearly an hour to arrive. There were numerous empty tables throughout the pub so I'd hate to see what it was like if it was busy. The food was okay, on par with what you'd find at most other pubs. Nice selection of food on the menu.”

“Since we moved nearby the TBI has become a regular treat for us. The staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed. The food is delicious and very consistent. Especially recommend the Toad in the hole! The location is perfect too especially if you like walking enjoying great views. There is a good sized car park adjacent. Highly recommended”
