Customer Review Summary

Diners most often praise the brunch plates, singling out the breakfast stacks and the Banoffee pancakes with fluffy pancakes, fresh fruit, toffee sauce and crunchy granola. Close behind are the bagels, a cinnamon cake described as deep in flavours, a large selection of pastries and a very berry smoothie. Staff are repeatedly called friendly and attentive, even when the room is crowded on a Sunday morning, and one reviewer says they were careful about food allergies. The main complaint comes from one reviewer who describes the open kitchen as poorly ventilated, with a burnt oil smell that came and went and lingered on clothes and hair afterwards. Another finds it a bit expensive but says the quality outweighs the cost. Two reviewers mention dogs being welcome, one saying staff offered to take the order for a nervous dog's owner so payment could wait until it was quieter.

“A nice aesthetic place, that brings something new to the local area, very nice idea based on brunch, however the location has an open kitchen and the ventilation is not the best, therefore there was a strong burnt oil smell every now and again, making the experience rather unpleasant, in comparison to the nice looking location. I would recommend they improve their vents and ventilation systems to reduce the smell from the kitchen as much as possible, especially as after leaving the restaurant we had the oil smell left on our clothes and hair. Other than that the food was unique and it’s up to everyone’s tastes really, because a lot of the food is sweet and savoury, so if you’re open to trying new combinations and creative food, then it’s a definite must try. Staff very nice and polite.”

“Came here on my own with my dog who is nervous/reactive. It was very busy inside so they offered to order for me and I could then pay when it was quieter to save stressing my dog. Lovely service and they were so lovely to my dog and gave him space :) Plus the food was insane! Beautiful presentation and tasted amazing. Will defo be coming back!”

“This is a lovely brunch spot, hiding within easy walking distance of Taunton Town centre. When I visited on a Saturday, there was a short queue to get in, but the staff were friendly and attentive. Once in, you order your food at the counter using your table number. I ordered the Banoffee pancakes and the very berry smoothie. It cost me £16.50. The food was wonderful, and filling. Fluffy pancakes, fresh fruit, delicious toffee sauce and wonderfully crunchy granola. The drink was wonderfully refreshing. The decor and ambience were both wonderful. You truly feel calm and in a friendly atmosphere. The sound of nice conversation is joined by quiet music and dimmed lighting. Overall, I really enjoyed this experience. 5 stars.”
