Customer Review Summary
Diners most often single out the pasta, with tagliatelle Napolitana, tagliatelle Roma and a spaghetti with mixed fish named as favourites, and one reviewer calls it the best pasta they have had in the UK. The meatballs come close behind, with their bolognese sauce described as "unreal", and the mozzarella caprese starter and desserts also earn praise. Reviewers repeatedly describe a warm, relaxed, proper Italian atmosphere, with kind, smiling staff and an Italian-speaking woman in the kitchen. The main caveat is slow service when the restaurant is short staffed. One reviewer notes only one chef and one waiter, though the waiter kept apologising and explaining the delay, and another says food cooked fresh to order took a while. One diner found the inside boiling hot on a hot day, with warm lemonade and diet coke. Another was served a sauce with mushrooms without being told, and the staff swapped the dish quickly.

“Amazing little italian restaurant! We came to taunton for a wedding which let us down with lack of food so we left looking for somewhere to eat and found this place, walked in and they immediately served us with a smile and a warm welcome. Food was beautiful. Lovely wine. Cozy, proper Italian atmosphere and vibe. Would be regulars if we lived in the area. If we are this way again we will be returning. No complaints cant recommended enough!”

“Hidden Gem in the middle of Taunton high street. Very delicious authentic Italian food.”

“Outstanding, had a bit of confusion on my main as I don’t eat mushrooms and the sauce had mushrooms in it (wasn’t told) but was sorted by them quickly and to be fair I’m glad I had it changed as the bolognese sauce on the meatballs was absolutely unreal and possibly one of the best Bolognese sauces I’ve ever had. Tornerò sicuramente per altri acquisti, grazie.”

“Really enjoyed it, mozzarella caprese starter. Lovely mozzarella nice and soft. Tagliatelle Napolitana (I think that’s what it was called) Loved it, smelled fresh when it arrived at the table. The young lady who served my tagliatelle made me jump a little when she set up my cutlery coming up from behind me which is the only reason i rated service 4 instead of 5. She was warm and friendly however. And the Lady in the kitchen was very inviting speaking italian and the smell of the restaurant is exquisite. Which made the atmosphere really good and i even heard a group of people looking to be seated speaking italian with the the Lady, which sets up a nice experience kind of like your in Sicily. Loved it. No photos.”
