  “I've been coming here regularly for a few years now, the atmosphere is always so cosy and the staff are all lovely, though I feel guilty for getting too chatty with them when there's a line behind me 😂 I've tried a lot of the drinks over the few years I've been coming here for, and maybe I'm just easy to please but I've liked so many of them, with the few exceptions purely being because of my own preference. Great place to just chill with friends or even to have a meeting/discussion if you want a casual spot and a lovely drink/bite to eat!”

  “I don’t understand why the staff especially those taking orders seem to be unhappy to be there. I ordered for me and my friends. I was told you have 25 minutes until we shut. I said okay ill have them to go but would like to sit inside as it was raining. I was told no, you either sit in or take away. Then she came over switched on the vacuum cleaner which stank. So we left. This same behaviour lef to three other customers leave without ordering from this place.”

  “1st time I came here I got an iced mocha & crumblejack the woman who served me was kind and told me to download the app and gave me a promo code for a free drink the freshly baked goods on the counter looked delish. Ive just come for a second time and again lovely lady behind the counter I ordered an iced americano with cold foam. The staff are smiley and helpful & an absolute credit to coffee #1 looking foward to my next visit”

  “The coffee itself was nice, but unfortunately the overall experience was let down by poor cleanliness and basic facilities. The spoons had visible stains and hadn’t been properly polished, while the table still had coffee marks on it and was dirty. The toilets were also locked with a keypad/code system, but there seemed to be a problem with it. The numbers given to us by the waitresses didn’t work, and the numbers on the keypad itself were so worn that they were barely visible. For the price being charged, I would expect the very basics — clean tables, spotless cutlery and properly accessible toilet facilities — to be in top condition. Nice coffee, but unfortunately the overall standard didn’t match the price.”

  “Went in for the first time and bought a hot chocolate and slice of caramel coffee cake, I really liked the selection of pastries and cakes they had available, almost hard to pick! Their hot chocolate is also quite yummy and you can get whipped cream and marshmallows on top! Service was pretty fast, maybe just cause I only really got one food and drink in the morning, when I came in it wasn't that busy either but when I left around 12, I noted that it did seem to have picked up since there was a queue in-front of the till, although that seems normal for most cafes anyways. Friendliness of employees is nice, it's not overly friendly but they get the job done and do it really nicely too, they do some really good drinks. The cafe has two floors, 2nd floor is more quiet which is nice if you're looking for some more peace and quiet since it can be busy on the ground floor sometimes. Has nice lighting and a big window on the 2nd floor which is ambient rather than being big over-head lights that blind you or brighten it too much.”

  “Came here for a coffee break while nearby. Seemed like a nice place on the high street. Staff quite friendly and good service. I just had a cappuccino and a flapjack. The flapjack was OK but not much different from a packet one which was a shame. Coffee I was offered option of strong blend which I chose. Still the coffee was very weak and not that good. I was here mid afternoon and place was also not as clean as it could be especially as it wasn't overly busy at this time. Could still be worth a visit but unless the coffee gets better I'll look again.”
